A touch of Paradise on Strawberry Island. Please enjoy a unique west coast experience calmly resting on our float home just a quick boat ride across from downtown Tofino. Rustic, fully furnished accommodations with all the comforts of home but the feeling of the wilderness all around you. Float home studio with queen, bunk and hide a bed & full bath. Complimentary boat taxi provided by hosts for our guests. BBQ, Stove, Fridge and fully stocked with everything you need. Hosts are also long time local fish guides, crabbing, prawning, hot springs & wildlife tours for guests at a nominal cost. Bring your kayaks right out our front doors. This is such a magical place, from fishing off the front porch to watching jelly fish swim by the porthole all night, this property has it all. It was a chilly March but Pearl kept us stocked with extra blankets and propane for the heater. It is so cozy and warm that you forget you are in a float house. Pearl was very easy to arrange rides to/from the harbour and you can feel the sense of community all around you. 10/10 we will be back!

This is certainly a paradise on water with a cozy feel that is legendary. There is quite a history with the family that owns Strawberry Island. Our host Pearl was so friendly and accommodating. She is definitely an island professional with stellar boating skills. With our family of 5; 3 kids under 12 years old and a chocolate lab, this place was perfect for us. The kitchen was well equipped, but when we were there the oven didn't work. It didn't matter to us because we only used the stove-top. There were a variety of fun games, including cribbage and battleship. The viewing hole on the floor was a hit with the kids. Every morning and evening as part of our bed time routine, we would look down into the water and watch a few small fish swim by. There is a good working heater that heats up the place quickly and adequately, but be mindful of the propane tank levels. Waking up on the water is just a beautiful experience. We even saw a harbour seal right outside a few feet away from our window. Various wildlife everywhere, this place truly was exceptional.

Sweet, cozy stay

Pearl and Joel were lovely hosts and helped to provide an enjoyable stay. They were very accommodating and helpful. The only concerns we had were the different contacts and some of the processes weren’t fully communicated. Overall, it was a memorable stay and we would love to visit again!
