We had such and great time at this beautiful property. The house looks exactly like it does in the photos. For us, the thing we appreciated the most was the customer service. Communicating with the owners and the maintenance team was a pleasure and an easy experience. But… the coolest part of the house was definitely the sauna and hot tub. I’m talking about hot tub karaoke!
This home was absolutely amazing - truly outstanding in every way! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, welcoming, and spotless. Every detail was thought of, making our stay so comfortable and stress-free. The space was perfect for our group, with plenty of room to relax, cook, and spend time together. The location was ideal, quiet yet close to everything we needed. We honestly loved every part of this stay and can’t wait to come back again!
This is definitely a one of a kind VRBO! It’s packed with lots of amenities both for indoor and outdoor living. My family and I take an annual trip to the NC mountains and this by far was the best place we have ever stayed. Its location is very convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed visiting several of the small towns in close proximity but more than anything we enjoyed our time together at this perfect retreat.
The home is located in a quiet peaceful small town. It is about 25 minutes from Ashville which was very convenient. The home is located just minutes from a grocery store and several family owned resturants. The host answered all of my questions very quickly and the check in and out process was very simple. We stayed with several other families and the house was large enough that we each had our own seperate bedrooms with independant temperature controls. The arcade games and ping pong tables were great for entertaining the children. Three grills and a great stove was greatly appreciated and made cooking on vacation easy and fun.A unique home with plenty of amenities. restaurants.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Scott! We're thrilled you enjoyed the peaceful location, convenient amenities, and the home's spacious comfort for your group. It's great to hear the kids loved the games and the kitchen setup made cooking enjoyable. We look forward to hosting you again!
This was the coolest place we have ever stayed using Vrbo. The house is nothing like you have ever stayed in before. There is equal outdoor space as indoor space. The swing chairs are amazing! The kitchen had so many cooking tools, some I’ve never even seen before. It had everything! The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were very nice. We had five people and were extremely comfortable. There was a whole level to the house that we never even used. The TVs are huge and are great for watching sports or a movie. The house is very close to the interstate and was a good location. I really can’t say enough about this place! Just a tip: bring your own bottled water and jugs of water for the 5 coffee makers! Every morning the coffe bar was such a treat! We would LOVE to stay again!
We were not prepared for the WOW factor of this home! The amenities were many, the beds were sumputuous, the kitchen had every gadget/utensil a chef could imagine and the decor was cozy/modern/rustic/chic. We felt at home as soon as we opened our eyes on our first full day. Make sure you plan to spend some quality time AT THE HOUSE to take advantage of the hot tub, sauna, shuffleboard, infinity table, ping pong table, and cozy nooks for reading. During our 7 day stay, cut short by Helene :(, we only left a few times for dining, tours or walks around Asheville. Grocery store is close by with a great selection of food for cooking at home! If you want to totally relax and truly get away from it all, this is the place! Nik was incredible to communicate with, very prompt. We had many questions when we arrived about light switches, wifi connectivity, and how to use some technology and he was right on it!
I spent a month searching for a place in the Asheville area that would be the perfect place for my brother and I to get 'the cousins' together and when I finally came across this one, though outside of town, I knew it had everything and then some to keep us all happy and dare I say, contained?!
The grocery is a quick 8 minute drive which we did daily which was how we planned our menus. Asheville is a lovely 20-25 minute drive which we made to enjoy brinch at the Blackbird (they take resies which was a relief for our party of 8) and happened upon an art festie; score!
Everything from the hot tub to the hanging swings to the ping pong table to the "kids quarters" to the spa-like linens and decor upstairs...it was truly a retreat. Pro Tip: dibs the upstairs queen room with the balcony and open up that door and prepare yourself for the best sleep among the trees you'll ever have.
Anyhoo, hoping to make it an annual tradition...

Amazing property, but......
My family & I rented this property from 6/16/24-6/19/24 expecting a nice getaway that was close to rafting and Ashville. First, this property looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright home, a stunning, unique design that is incredibly well built & the responsiveness from owner was exceptional (although not always helpful) as well. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by numerous issues that left us feeling frustrated & disappointed.
I discovered the lights to the grill area was not working. We had plans for grilling, games etc but could not due to the lights (on a timer) were not coming on. I messaged the owner to which he responded that he would have to “re-trigger” the light sensor remotely. Never worked during our time there.
That same night the MB was hot even with the mini split on full blast & the water smelled of sulfur, to which never dissipated. I told the owner we couldn’t sleep in that room due to the AC not working & he asked me to turn the unit off, again, didn’t help. He called a tech to evaluate the mini split, however he only looked at the outside unit & never looked at the inside. The owner advised me to clean the filter on the inside. I did however it did not help the situation at all.
At the end of the day, I paid a nice fee per night for a beautiful home that did not live up to the bill due to simple maintenance issues. I do believe that if that place had more care in regards to simple maintenance, we might not have had such a bad experience.

Cory, we try hard to provide a 5 star experience to all our guests. This is a home my family uses several times during the year. Your review is disappointing not because it's a 2 star rating (which might typically indicate the home isn't habitable) but also because of the inconsistencies and misinformation you've provided.
1. You mention you were not able to use the grill or the deck because the string lights would not turn on. At the time you stayed(mid-June) North Carolina has natural daylight from 6am until nearly 9.30pm. The deck also has regular sconce lights that are operated by a switch on the wall. Looking back at our communication, when I told you about the sensor, I also told you exactly where the button to turn on the string lights were, to which you never responded, and you didn't mention anything about the lights after that communication, which was on the first morning of your stay. So my assumption was that you were using the switches/buttons for the lights. My cleaning team takes pictures which show the grill was used, and so was the hot tub, sauna and several other amenities on the deck. It's unclear to me why you would make the statements you did given those facts.
2. We have well water in rural NC. I understand the water may smell or taste different. I immediately purchased an oversupply of bottled water and sent you information about where you could pick it up but you neglected to mention this in your review.
3. There are multiple bedrooms in the house with multiple sleeping spaces all of which had cooling through individual split vac units. We had a tech look at the unit in question while you were out who reported it was working correctly. My cleaning team operated the unit after you left as well, and it was working correctly at 71F on auto mode. We can agree to disagree on this since I understand your point that if you weren't able to operate it the way you needed, we can consider it not working. Regardless there were multiple other sleeping spaces for your family of 5(the home sleeps 16) to where this may not have needed to disrupt your entire experience.
You mention that your experience was marred with "numerous" issues and we were not able to resolve any of them, which is just factually incorrect, based on the examples you provided. One can choose to acknowledge things that went in any situation just as one can find everything that went wrong in any situation. I'm sorry that you believe you had a 2 star experience in our beautiful home. We are glad you were able to enjoy rafting and Asheville or at least we hope you were able to. We respect your feedback and will use it to work harder at improving our guest experience. I wish you luck in finding home stays that can meet and exceed your expectations.
