We had the best time, as a family of 5, staying in Ocean Vista 1103! You can't beat the view & location. The 11th floor was easy with the elevators which were super smooth plus carts were available to get luggage up and down at check-in and check-out. We had easy access to the beach, and enjoyed time at the pool as well. The condo had the basics needed. The only thing we wished it was equipped with was beach towels. That would have been nice especially for those of us who flew in from out of state. Otherwise we had an incredible stay & would recommend it to anyone looking to spend time in South Padre!

3.5 would be more accurate….

The pros…great location, easy check-in, well stocked, great amenities! The cons…a bit dated, sofa SO uncomfortable, slider really hard to open and close, and biggest issue was the elevator sounds. Every time one of the elevators moves, a subtle but definitely noticeable hum exists in the unit, especially in the first bedroom. We had a great time and appreciated much of what the unit had to offer…

Spring Break Getaway

This property is as advertised. The cleanliness was not where it should have been, as the floors were not clean which we found out as we took our shoes off and our socks were dirty after arrival. The dishwasher was leaking on the floor which took all the towels in the condo to clean up. The building maintenance brought new towels, but the dishwasher was not fixed during our stay. BUT, the views and amenities were top notch!! The beds were most comfy, and the kitchen was supplied nicely for the cooking family. We would stay here again.

This condo was great. Check-in and check-out were smooth; written instructions for the stay was clear and easy to understand. Condo was clean and in order. As far as the furnishings, this condo included every dish, cookware and cooking utensils you could possibly need. Only 1 dishrag was provided, with 2 hand towels for the kitchen. Also, we were provided 1 wash cloth per person. There is laundry exchange off site but we didn’t leave the condo every day. We did laundry so it worked out, but could use a little more since some shower twice a day. The Ocean Vista does not have chairs and umbrellas to rent so either bring your own or walk 2 hotels down and rent their chairs (you will have to use them in front of their hotel). Even with these 2 things, still a great condo and we had a wonderful vacation. We were celebrating high school graduation for 2 girls and one 18th birthday. Would definitely recommend this condo.

Great summer vacation spot!

The property was great. Amazing location walking distance to several restaurants and shops and the beach was beautiful and easily accessible. The unit was equipped with everything we needed for cooking. The only negatives at all was the parking was a challenge, especially over the weekend and there was a smell (like rotten eggs) when we walked in the unit initially. I believe it was coming from the dishwasher. (It seemed to get better after we ran it for the 1st time). Overall a wonderful property and we will stay there again.

Excellent...I want to go back!

Our family absolutely loved this property!!! It was a perfect fit for us. When staying on the 11th floor, you can't beat the view of the bay (sunset) from the front, and the ocean view (sunrise) from the back patio. We started the day overlooking the beach with coffee, breakfast and the sounds of the ocean. The condo was up to date, extremely well kept, clean, and had all the eating and cooking supplies we needed. The washer and dryer in the condo ran well and was efficient, which was a must have for us as a family of 5 who packed lightly. Loved that I was able to have most of our laundry complete before arriving back home. The master bedroom and sink/vanity area is very spacious, however the master toilet and shower are in a bathroom space (the sink/vanity area is spaciously outside the bathroom) that is very tight. This was not a big deal for us, but might be difficult for someone's else's needs. The shower felt amazing and the beds were all SO comfortable. Can't beat listening to the ocean as you fall asleep after a full day at the beach. We traveled with 3 teens, so having all three beds in one room worked perfectly for us. They had their space, my husband and I had ours. They all agreed that their beds were very comfortable as well. The pool area below was a great spot for cooling off in the afternoon because yes, it is shaded and stayed very comfortable in the later part of the day. Ocean Vista is only a few blocks from the grocery store, so the several trips we made for groceries and other supplies was super convenient since we did not have a vehicle on this trip. Some have reviewed that you can hear the elevator from this condo. This is true, but it was not a distraction or nuisance at all. Didn't bother us one bit. The overall property was quiet and completely family friendly. There were a few beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, mats,) in the condo for our use. We requested beach towels to be left as well for our use and no problem, they were there! The owner was prompt and kind in all communication. We would 100 percent return to this exact condo again if we find ourselves back in South Padre. Absolutely a vacation to remember. Thanks so much!

Great beach access!

This was a nice property with by far the easiest beach access of anywhere we've ever stayed. It was wonderful to open the sliding glass door and listen to the beach. A good idea might be to replace the beach chairs as they were a little rusty, and the elevator noise was annoying on the 11th floor, but I suppose you could tune it out. It was quiet at night.

Amazing Location! Amazing Views!

This is our 4th time staying at Ocean Vista in SPI. The location, relatively small number of units, space, and condo amenities are perfect for our family. Being on the 11th floor in this unit was great! This particular unit has had some upgrades even since the photos. It was clean, had comfortable furniture and all the kitchen stuff we needed. Just as an FYI to future guests - beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and cooler are not included in this one as they often are with private rentals on SPI.

I simply want to say is that the condo was very good, location was great … the only thing was that after I washed for some reason there was a smell coming from either the washing machine or somewhere .. it smelled like sewer but overall I loved everything about the stay .. we will be coming back to stay here again .. oh and one more thing the view was amazing from the 11th floor from the front balcony to the back balcony… thank you again for making me and my family stay great.

Great Condo

The condo was spacious and well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed and a large pantry for groceries. The washer & dryer were very helpful. The beds were all comfy and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. The balcony was amazing. We loved sitting outside and watching the Gulf. The furniture was comfortable. I always pack extra stuff for rentals - over the door hooks, extra power strips, disposable bakeware etc. The only thing we used was the over the door hooks - there were several in the condo, but we needed more. We noticed that other condos had hooks for hanging things outside which would be a nice addition since you aren’t allowed to hang things on the railings. We cooked & ate most of our meals in the condo. We definitely used all the pans, bowls, gadgets in the kitchen and it had everything! The pools & hot tubs were very nice & cleaned every day. The beach access was excellent. We went to the beach multiple times each day. The boardwalk is nice, the beach is clean & the water is beautiful. You can rent chairs & umbrellas or bring your own.
