LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION:
Our cabin is walking distance to several restaurants and the highly coveted Lake Tahoe Park Association which is a private, gated beach and recreational area. This is the next best thing to staying on the lake! You will enjoy lakefront privileges such as two private piers, private swim area, picnic/BBQ areas (reservations are recommended), basketball court, bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, grassy lawns and more.
Abundant ski options are nearby including the Alpine Meadows and Palisades resorts (~10 miles) and Homewood Resort (less than 5 miles south). Meanwhile, Tahoe City Commons Beach is just three miles away where you can enjoy free outdoor concerts and movies during the summertime. The popular Firesign Cafe and charming West Shore Market are just a stroll from our cabin. If you desire lakefront dining, check out the renown Sunnyside Restaurant next to the Market. Close by there is a wonderful bike trail to ride to Tahoe City and the Truckee River or south to explore other areas.
**OTHER THINGS TO NOTE**
SECURITY CAMERA-
We have a motion detected video/audio security camera on the front exterior of the property. The camera is focused on the entryway and driveway for security, snow build up and bear monitoring purposes.
OUR NEIGHBORS-
Tahoe is a place designed for quiet relaxation and tranquility. We follow all rules and regulations from Placer County, which means no outside noise from 9pm to 8am. This will be monitored by the County Code Enforcement and sadly means no one can be outside on the decks past 9pm or there will be a severe fine :( This cabin is in a residential area and we expect all of our guests to RESPECT our neighbors.
OUR BEAR FRIENDS-
Bear sighting and break-ins are common. They love to find a tasty snack anywhere that they can, including cars! We have electric bear wires on the perimeter of the house to deter bear visits. Details to prevent bear activity and how to turn off the wire system will be provided with your Welcome letter.
WEATHER: - No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. The summer and fall are in the fire season. In the event of bad air quality outside due to fires that are not a threat to the general area, our cancellation policy still stands. Please keep this in mind before booking during fire season and purchase travel insurance for coverage if desired.
WINTER SNOW SEASON-
During the winter snow season, the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a lot of snow! 4-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6+ inches) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear pathways prior to your arrival.
If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to ask, it would be our pleasure to answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to hosting you!

Travel and real estate are my passions! There is no better feeling than designing a beautiful home for others to enjoy. My goal is to make sure you have a relaxing and stress-free vacation.
Why they chose this property
The West Shore at Lake Tahoe is special for so many reasons! Our cabin is walking distance not only to the Lake but also many wonderful restaurants. Guests can bike or walk to Tahoe City and the Truckee river for rafting. 3 fantastic ski resorts are minutes away. So much to offer!
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is a Gambrel style home which is an architectural style originated from the Dutch in the 1800s. The character and charm of a Gambrel home are hard to replicate which is why we love our cabin.
