Very comfortable and homey

This property was everything we needed and wanted. Wonderful views from any window, and we loved having the beach so close.

Wow! I can't say enough about this cute cabin on the shores of Lake Superior. It was very clean and well appointed. Everything was very comfortable and the host provided plenty of supplies for our week. It's a very private property, with little road noise and few neighbors, yet only a few minutes from restaurants and very near to downtown Marquette.The only downside was the lack of A/C, which normally wouldn't be an issue in the UP, but of course last week was one of the hottest they've had in a while. But there were plenty of fans and the host reached out with suggestions on fan placement to aid in cooling the house down.The host was extremely responsive to any questions, and unless we had an issue or a question, they left us to enjoy our vacation.We had a great week, and I can't recommend this cabin enough!

Beautiful home with thoughtful decor in a picturesque setting - just as advertised. The home's description and photos are spot-on. The sunsets were amazing and the morning walks on the beach were peaceful. Can't wait to return to Shangri-La again.

This was our second time staying at Shangri-La. We love the location and the view from the house. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed turning on the gas fireplace when we returned from our daily adventure; it was so cozy. The king bed is comfortable.

Peaceful paradise!

We had a fabulous stay. Clean, comfortable accommodations. Perfect location for exploring all the amazing hiking in both Marquette and Munising. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if in the area! Thank you!!

Great View

Our family had a great time. The house was just like the pictures very clean great beach and beautiful sunsets! We had great weather and the water temp was the warmest we have ever felt from Lake Superior! We can’t wait to stay here again!

Gorgeous views, great location

We loved our time at this cabin. It's perfect for our family of four and a grandma and grandpa. The amenities are just what we need, the lake is just a set of stairs away, town is only 15 minutes away, and there's a Meijer within 20 minutes. A great home base for exploring the upper peninsula.

Beautiful Lake Syperior

We had a wonderful stay. So close to the beach and the house was equipped with anything you may need to make your stay comfortable. The biting flies were bad about 1 1/2 days we were there but that is no fault to the owners:) The beach is a little piece of heaven on earth

Perfect UP North getaway

This is a classic northern Michigan cottage: wood paneled walls, good books, puzzles and card games, amazing view. Not fancy at all, but just right.

Shangri-La on Lake

This cottage on Lake Superior met our needs. It provided enough beds for the 5 of us and access out the door to the beach. The kids loved swimming and digging in the sand. The sunrises and sunsets over the lake were phenomenal. The property manager was quick to reply to our inquiries. Lakenland, down the road is a must for visitors to the area.

Can"t stay away

This was the 4th or 5th time we have stayed at Shangri-La. We spend quite a bit of time in the UP and absolutely love Scott's place. Convenient location, incredible beach, and the view from the house, inside or out, is unparalleled.
