Very pleasant lakefront cottage with pier to launch kayak and canoe. Peaceful setting with screened gazebo overlooking the lake. Cottage was clean and well organized.
The beds are very comfortable, as is the living room. The screened in dining area is excellent. The hosts are very gracious and leave a couple gallons of potable water in the fridge. We would definitely book here again when in the area.
The camp was simple with everything we needed. Plenty of hot water, drinking water, comfortable beds, fans and a nice outdoor area that extended to the dock. Really appreciated having the kayaks to use and we loved the bear!!!
I am very pleased with everything, the cottage was clean and comfortable! I loved sitting out every morning watching the wildlife. The pond never disappoints!! It is so peaceful and relaxing. The neighbors are very welcoming too! If you are looking for a quiet place to disconnect and destress, this is the place to go!
We love the location and the lake front property was beautiful. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy and the screened in porch was great. The inside of the house could have been cleaner. My baby is crawling and I felt bad for him crawling on the floors. It definitely was more of a “campy”experience. Communication was excellent and the owners were very nice. They left information about local wildlife and where to get lobster which we appreciated and utilized. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
It was a good experience. Nice little lake house and fun campground type yard right on the lake. We had fun fishing, kayaking and roasting s’mores on the campfire. The neighborhood and area was very noisy ce and not to far from town and exploring other areas. Check in was easy and everything was there to cook clean and enjoy the trip.
The cottage is casual and comfortable, beds very comfortable with 4 pillows on each bed, a big plus. The kitchen is very well-stocked. The spacious yard is shaded by large trees, which enhances being outside on very warm days and the ground is covered with pine needles, which keeps guests from bringing dirt inside. The pond is lovely, clean, quiet. We had a lovely time with our 4 teenage granddaughters. Thank you, owners!

Unfortunately the place was left in a total mess, with discarded clothes in various piles. A disaster. He had rented before and seemed satisfied, not sure what happened this time. Never again.
We enjoyed our short stay at this lakeside house! Inside was perfectly spacious for our family of six. All amenities were provided. Only add ons we needed were a feeding seat and pack n play for our 1 year old. It was great our dog was welcomed too! Kids loved using the kayaks, playing the games provided, and the nostalgia of watching VCR movies! Great place to cool off during the day. Nights were cooler and fans in windows worked just fine. Overall fantastic summer place! Marco and Lynn met us there and we’re very welcoming too. We hope to stay again in the future!

Shana - thank you for leaving the place in such good shape. We are sorry you had to cut your trip short but do hope you will be able to return!
We had a quiet restful time at this no frills, beautifully situated home on Pitcher Pond. My 10 year old, 2 dogs, my mom and best friend, all enjoyed themselves. The house is down a LONG dirt road. It is rustic, no frills. The beds are very comfortable. We used our phones for internet service, that was mostly there, though slow. Swimming and Kayaking just out the door. Very close to the wonderful Belfast (15min), and going south, Lincolnville (15min) and Camden (25min.) Great memories.
Family of 6 with 2 adult daughters and their partners. The 3 bedrooms upstairs were great. Cozy, and had closet and dresser space for all our clothing. Downstairs had comfy living room area for reading and relaxing, along with large dning room table for all 6 adults.
Kitchen had excellent supply of dishes, cooking items and large fridge/freezer.
We grilled outside most nights and ate outside in the screened in gazebo -Perfect !!
Chairs near the dock had lovely view of the pond, kayaks were super easy to launch from the dock - we swam and kayaked every day.
Overall a fantastic family vacation - wonderful blend of outdoor activities and relaxation in a coxy cabin.
Check was easy, and host quickly responded to a few questions in the beginning. Would love to stay here again !

Close to nature
We loved our stay in Northport. The cottage itself was neat and clean and had everything you needed. The property was very shady with spots of sun which ended up being perfect. There were no or just minimal mosquitos.. no lie!! There is a gazebo screen house with a table great for meals, coffee, and card games. The pond is a decent sized body of water that is not overly populated. Only rarely did anyone with a motor boat go by. It’s perfect for kayaking, canoeing and swimming. We spent a lot of time in the kayaks and saw bald eagles and heard wolves howling daily early morning. The surrounding area as far as location to towns like Belfast and Camden for shopping and dining out are a very reasonable drive. 15-20 minutes. Hiking in Camden was one of he highlights. Many different trails available and some with breathtaking views. I would definitely go here again. The only negative per my two teenage kids is the lack of WiFi!! :)
I cannot begin to say how amazing this was! The cabin is exactly as described and was just the perfect location! Quiet pond that is more like a lake! Crystal clear water with great fishing and kayaking. Marco and Lynn were great to work with and were quick to respond to any questions we had. They provided ample information on the surrounding areas and I can’t wait to go back!!! Truly couldn’t be happier!
The place was as expected from the photos. The beds were very comfortable, and the place was clean. Wonderful spot just steps from the pond. We enjoyed the fire pit and the kayaks supplied. The screen didn't porch came in handy we ate every meal out there. The communication with the owners was responsive and timely. For the price I would recommend this place to others.
Being 1 mile off the nearest paved road made for a quiet vacation away from the pressures of the daily rat race. That being said the proximity to shopping, dining and other attractions made it a great mix. The hard part was to decide between upland and coastal outdoor activities. The closeby nature preserve and trail was a god place to start
The house is comfortable and well equipped but a little dated
Overall we really enjoyed our week at the house. The lake views and kayaks were great for relaxing and we made good use of the fire pit. Unfortunately, as someone who planned on cooking the entire week, the kitchen was woefully understocked. Some things they didn't have include: wine opener, lobster pot, wisk, a pan big enough to cook bacon. Also, the listing said a washer/dryer were available so I only packed with that in mind, but when we got up there we were informed that we had to go into town to use a laundry mat, not exactly how I wanted to spend 1/2 a day on vacation.

Hi Mike,
I sorry you felt the kitchen was under stocked. There was a cork screw in the kitchen drawer and we have always felt the large skillet was sufficient for cooking bacon. Your point about the lobster pot and whisk are spot on and I will rectify. As an avid cook myself, was there anything else you would have liked to have seen in the kitchen. Your honest feedback is appreciated. As for the washer/dryer I will make sure the listing states they are not available at the cottage. Thanks again.

Marco and Lynn are really friendly hosts and were very communicative throughout the pre arrival stage and the first day start of our stay. The house has good facilities and although, as a couple, we only used one bedroom, it was very comfortable and nicely furnished, the other two on inspection, looked comfortable as well.
Unfortunately, I injured my leg on the second day which negated the reason to be on the pond, lots of swimming and kayaking, which didn’t happen, but that had nothing to do with the camp!
Essentially, we were looking for privacy, so this didn’t work for us at all, as this camp is very close to another camp on the left, within 40 feet or so, Sadly, for us an incredibly noisy family of five arrived there, on day two, and we then had to tie up our dogs for almost all of the stay, to avoid them wanting to play with their small children.
Also the pond has a lot of motor boat activity, So a tranquil time just isn’t possible, as so many speed up and down the pond, especially in the last hour before sundown! No wonder the Loons were much scarcer than expected.
So in conclusion, if you’re a family with youngsters this is a great spot, with a well appointed house with everything you need, Great water access, and you’ll have plenty of playmates. However, if you’re like us with two pups, Just looking for a peaceful, relaxed week, this isn’t the place for you.
But, we’ve never met a nicer couple of hosts than Lynn and Marco, we’re just sorry the location didn’t meet our criteria of quietness, privacy and Loon song! Families, will just love it!!
Unplugging at this pristine pond is the way to go. Cooking dinner over the fire-it, kayaking under the sun and stars, and visiting the surrounding towns was pefect for our family.
We had a wonderful vacation. Pitcher Pond is beautiful with gently lapping waves and the call of the loons. The cabin was comfy and well-stocked. The owners are exceptionally responsive. Although we could have spent all day kayaking and swimming and just sitting by the water, it is a short drive to neautiful hiking, and also Belfast and Lincolnville - with rich cultural offerings and good restaurants. We will return!

A wonderful, relaxing time—getting away from it all!
The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Well furnished. Everything we needed was there. Beautiful views of the lake and woods. So quiet and peaceful. We heard the loons!
