The place was immaculate. Family Retreat is like a 5 star hotel. Crisp sheets. Plush towels. Plenty of room for friends and family to come for dinner. Excellent Wi-Fi. Nice beach near by. The pictures don’t do this place justice. We had a beautiful surprise when we saw how incredibly gorgeous this placed is. Everything in this place looks brand new. Now I want to remodel our family room with knotty pine. (Sorry hubby) I told the owner, “I could live here, it’s so beautiful!”

This cute little house held lots of adventures and lots of laughter with family that traveled from far away ❤️ memories that will last forever.

The cottage is very well maintained and clean. Nice, clean linens. The owners supply some toiletries, which was such a nice surprise!!The kitchen was nice, with an electric stove. The knives are PAINFULLY dull. They are truly useless. But the kitchen has a nice array of spices and is stocked with plates, glasses and mugs. There was tin foil, ziplocks, and aluminum foil. The main detractor of the cottage is no air conditioning. There are no window units (which would be difficult with the vertical windows) or box fans. We were lucky that the nights were cool, but it was still really hot at bedtime. There are no room darkening features in the main bedroom. When the sun rises, the bedroom is bright!! Made it difficult for our toddler to sleep past 6:30 am. All in all, this cottage was so very nice cottage!! I would recommend it to others, with a few packing suggestions. ;)

We had a wonderful week at the Family Retreat. No A/C was not a problem until the temp was in the 90s for a couple of days. Host was very prompt in responses.
