We loved everything about the property. The cabin was awesome and the views are much better than pictures can really show. We enjoyed Capitol Reef and wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights.

Lovely comfortable. Well stocked kitchen but need better knives. Did not like the tiny silverware and plastic plates. For the price they could have provided decent low priced dinnerware…..like from Target. Very comfortable beds

The kitchen is well stocked with silverware that is the traditional size of all cutlery. There are dinner forks and salad forks, as well as soup spoons and teaspoons. The silverware in the house has been passed down in our family for generations. We chose to keep this silver at the house for guests to enjoy instead of offering a cheap, newer stainless steel version of cutlery. There are plain white china plates in the kitchen as well as a few plastic plates that are available for children to use. The knives are Cutco, among a few other brands and adequately sharp. (professional chefs may disagree) We will make sure a whetstone will now be available if guests would prefer to hone a particular degree of sharpness during their stay.

Wonderful!

The location and accommodations were perfect. The views and location were perfect for getting away and just relaxing to get away from it all. I will definitely reserve another weekend or more in the future. Felt like a home away from home for sure.

Comfy and Cozy

The views from the cabin were gorgeous. There was plenty of room for our family to hang out and sleep comfortably. It was also clean and well kept. We would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is the AC was off when we arrived so it took the first night to get the temperatures down to something reasonable.

Amazing Views, Amazing Cabin

This is our favorite we’ve ever stayed in. It is very clean and has everything you could need. They even left us a bag of coffee beans as a gift. It’s decorated beautifully and it is very obvious that the house and property are well taken care of. We also really enjoyed exploring the property. Highly recommend!

Outstanding

The location is spectacular, with the cabin situated on a slope that offers panoramic, unobstructed views to the south, west and north. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful. The cabin is stunning in its interior design, extremely comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need (3 adults). The library is amazing, fully equipped for exploring the area. This is the best experience we've ever had with a vacation rental, and definitely plan to return.

The house was a great place to spend a couple of nights while visiting Capitol Reef NP. If you like quiet, remote and a bit rustic you will love this house. My favorite room was the sun room. Very light with the most amazing unobstructed views. We enjoyed the cats, the dog, the chickens and even the neighbors horses. One of our favorite vacation rentals ever. It is right at 7,000 feet elevation so very comfortable in summer months. It's about 12 minutes to Torrey and 24 minutes to the park visitor center. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. Would suggest plans to eat in since restaurant options in Torrey are limited, IMO. We hope to return.Some things that would make it FIVE stars IMO. A king bed and AC in the upstairs bedroom. Opening the bedroom windows really cools things off.....if it's not raining or thundering. You are the dishwasher, not a deal breaker but... While it will sleep 8 on the three queens and sleeper sofa, less than that would be more comfortable. Really depends on the group makeup. Would probably work great for a large family or two couples.

Storybook cottage

It's hard to pick a favorite part of the cabin, but it was probably the reading nook in the sunroom. We spent most of our downtime in there. We'd spend 1/2 the day at Capitol Reef and the other half in the cabin because it was so relaxing and had such great character! A little slice of heaven, overall. Will definitely be back.

Lovely home

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay here! The house is a short drive from Capitol Reef and the cute town of Torrey but the property is worth it! There is a beautiful view and it is very peaceful. The house itself is very cozy and inviting. We loved playing the games that were available and watching TV when the weather wasn't the best. The beds are very comfortable, there was plenty of room for everyone, and the decks are the perfect place for a cup of coffee in the morning. My only suggestion is to update the pots and pans to make cooking and clean-up a little easier. We loved our stay here and would love to come back someday!

Breathtaking!

This property is simply breathtaking! It is located on a beautiful piece of property which is somewhat remote. The house is wonderfully equipped with everything you would need. It gives the feel of a warm, personal cabin with a welcoming vibe! We were able to see the Milky Way by walking out on the back deck at night as it was so dark. It is wonderfully located to explore Capital Reef and the surrounding areas. We happened to meet the hostess upon arriving who was very accommodating and very nice. I would highly recommend this cabin to for exploring the area.

This was one of the most amazing properties I have ever stayed at. The scenery was beautiful, with ample room to go for walks around the property. The property was well-maintained, with tons of amenities. Hygiene and cleaning supplies were available as well as extra bedding. Wifi worked great. And the home is absolutely stunning. It was a perfect home base for our southern Utah adventure.

Great place to stay if you like to be allto yourself. Loved hiking around the property. Has everything you need, no dishwasher just incase that’s a deal breaker for you. Couch and chairs in living room not the most comfortable, but besides that no complaints.
