Charming Acadia beachfront cottage, close to Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor.
“Nautic Bay”, a classic Maine cottage on a bluff that offers surreal views of the water amidst a backdrop of the Cadillac and Sargent Mountains with its changing tides. Every morning is a different display of nature’s scenes and colors. Tall mature trees surround the property for shade and for creating an organic, relaxing ambience. Outdoor deck near the water allows for alfresco dining and a view of the water from the top. Truly a classic Maine experience!
The space
Welcome to our beautiful ocean front home. Located 15-20 mins. to downtown Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park Visitor Center. The house sits on 5.5 acres with 525 ft of gravel & mud beach front. We have another vacation home located next to this house. It can be rented together accommodating up to 15 guests. Both homes have its own driveway, parking for multiple vehicles, back yard, & stairs to the beach.
The house sits on a bluff with great views of the Western Bay Cove & the mountains of Acadia. It accommodates 8 guests providing 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths on the main level. 4th bedroom is accessed via soft stairs to a private loft not visible from the main level. We have whole home automatic GENERAC Generator so you could enjoy your vacation during power outage.
The first level features a wrap around deck with outdoor seating overlooking the ocean. The deck hugs half of the house. The dining area has direct access to the deck. fully stocked kitchen. Two full baths. Master bedroom with comfortable king sized bed, en-suite bath, & closet. Two other bedrooms have queen sized beds and walk in closets. One of bedrooms with queen bed offers a nice ocean view. All Maine level 3 bedrooms have smart TV's.
Living room has a comfortable sofa, love seat and a swivel oversized chair with a large smart tv.
Dining table seats 8. Kitchen is fully stocked. Full sized appliances include fridge / freezer, electric oven / stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, drip carafe & k-cup coffee makers with complimentary start up coffee.
The 4th bedroom / loft ( “ The Tower ”) is accessed via soft L shaped stairs offering privacy for its occupants at its location. It has twin over twin beds ( 38 inches wide, 75 inches long mattresses each). It offers 360 views of its surroundings via its small windows. Access to the upper twin bed is via side stairs ( not ladder)
Outdoor living offers multiple areas. Wrap around deck has outdoor seating. Firewood fed fire pit has 3 twin wooden chairs surrounding it. We provide start up firewood with fire starting materials stored in a small plastic bin close to the pit. Fire pit is perfect for making s'mores. Further down towards the beach is another deck for al fresco outdoor dining with dining table and grill. Connected to this deck are the stairs leading to the beach where a secured dock sits by the beach with complimentary kayaks , and Adirondack chairs. The dock is perfect for reading, lounging, and stargazing. Here you will see seagulls dig clams, fly them up in the air and drop them to break and access their meal. Comb the beach and look for washed up treasures. Create wonderful memories with your family and friends

Full access to the house with private parking, private yard, private steps to the beach, and private dock sitting on the beach with complimentary kayaks and Adirondack chairs.
Other things to note
We have minisplits that provide AC and heat. Yes it can get warm and humid in Maine during peak summer. Although with this property less so as the surrounding tall trees provide shade. We have electric base board heating system as secondary heat source.
We have complimentary pack n play and baby high chair.
Guests with service animals are encouraged to notify the host / owner because of animal hair allergy by one of the owners / host who is closely engaged with maintaining the property.
Outdoor furniture & kayaks are not available during the cold months. Typically from November to March. Propane grill may be available upon request during cold months. Waterfront Notice:
This property is located on a waterfront. Conditions of the water (including depth, temperature, tides, currents, weather, and marine life) can change without notice. Guests acknowledge that swimming, wading, and all water activities are undertaken at their own risk.
Kayak Use – Complimentary Amenity:
Kayak(s) are provided as a complimentary amenity only, not as part of the rental agreement. Use of the kayak(s) is entirely voluntary and at the guest’s sole risk. By using the kayak(s), guests acknowledge and accept all risks associated with kayaking and water activities, including but not limited to injury, illness, drowning, or property damage.
Safety Requirements:
• Guests are responsible for ensuring all users are capable swimmers and physically able to kayak
• Life jackets must be worn at all times while on the water (as required by Maine law)
• Children must be supervised at all times
• Kayak use is not permitted during unsafe weather or water conditions
Liability Waiver:
The property owner and host assume no responsibility or liability for accidents, injuries, loss, or damage resulting from use of the waterfront, kayak(s), or related equipment. Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owner and host from any claims arising from such use.
