Welcome to Sunny and Chair! Our bright, pleasant, fully remodeled home emphasizes simplicity, functionality, and openness within a space. When it comes to furniture, our minimal style focuses on clean lines, neutral colors, and clutter-free, multipurpose pieces.

But the real thrill is spending the day on the beach, only three blocks away! The beautiful sands and gentle waves of Oak Island await you: and we are letting you in on some Top Secret local knowledge: The road that leads behind our Food Lion near 63rd Street is a beach accessible walking point that is not highlighted in online maps, but the town has added light parking for vehicles and golf carts. This is an amazing spot for the fireworks during the week of the 4th!  Walk between Pizza Shack and Lil & John's Ice Cream on your short stroll to the oceanfront. You'll even be able to play miniature golf on your way back home. The heart of town, with grocery stores, restaurants, and a liquor store, is less than a mile from home. 



Ground Level:  We are a one-story house with only four steps up to the front porch.

Plenty of private, covered parking and a large drive pad 4-6 vehicles or boat and trailer no problem. Exterior front and back stairwells.

Living Room: Sectional Sofa, Smart TV, Chaise Lounge Chair, Smart TV

Dining Area: Dining Table with seating for six.

Kitchen: Center Island, Full-size stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, double wall oven, granite countertops, coffee pot, fully equipped for cooking meals at home.

Primary Bedroom Suite: King Bed, Ceiling Fan, Smart TV

Primary Ensuite Bath: Zero Entry Custom Tile Shower, dual shower heads, toilet, vanity with Quartz countertop

Guest Room 1: King Bed, Ceiling Fan

Shared Hallway Bath: Bathtub and Shower with custom tile, toilet, vanity with quartz countertop

Guest Room 2: Twin over Twin Bunk bed, Twin day bed with Twin trundle

Laundry Room with washer and dryer

Back Deck: Outdoor seating for four. Large grassy yard for playtime.



Parking:

4-6 cars, size dependent. Boat trailers are allowed.



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Golf Carts are allowed at this property.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-Ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check Out is by 10 am.

We adhere to this policy, so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.



Guest Access:

House Rules:

Families only, no adult house parties.

No events such as weddings, bachelor's/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities

No Smoking



Pet Policy: Up to 2 dogs allowed- Under 30 lbs. First pet fee is included. A second dog is allowed with extra fee.



Cancellation Policy:

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.



Things To Do:

Oak Island is known for its golden sand beaches, calming blue waters, friendly community, and proximity to the cities of Southport, Wilmington, and Myrtle Beach. There are many cute island coffee shops, stores, breweries, and a park that showcases a splash pad for summer fun! With a beautiful Golf Club open to summer travelers and over 100 public water access points, there is an abundance of all things adventurous to do on Oak Island! 



If you'd like to keep your fitness routine going while on vacation, you can get an out-of-town Gym pass at Oak Island Recreation Center. Utilize the Rec Center's ample parking, put in at the Kayak ramp, and spend hours kayaking our beautiful marshes.  Sit on the lawn and enjoy a night off cooking at our Weekly Friday night "Summer Concert In The Park" with a couple of local food truck options at this family-centric Live Music event. Beach Day takes place in Oak Island on the Friday before July 4th and features all-day activities followed by fireworks on the island that evening.



Visit Historic Southport, a seafaring town just five miles from our island, for a bigger nightlife. Southport, at the confluence of the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, features a variety of different restaurants, bars, live music and shopping. It is one of our favorite places to walk around and check out different food and live music on the weekends. There are free parking options all over town, and you can easily walk to dozens of places while enjoying the breeze from the riverfront and admiring historic homes and general store buildings that date back to the early 1800s. Southport's State Fourth of July Festival is a three-day street fair with artists from all over the state, vendors, and food. It is truly like being in an Andy Griffith episode with the parade and grand finale fireworks show over the riverfront in Southport.
