Camp Tinker - An MDI hideaway. Minutes to Acadia!

Nestled in the woods in the heart of Mount Desert Island, Acadia Woods Cottages are fully equipped 2 bedroom homes that are the perfect launching place from which to explore Acadia National Park and the surrounding areas.

Camp Tinker has two cozy bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, heat/AC, W/D, smart TV/high-speed internet, grill, screened porch, community fire ring, outdoor games, picnic pavilion and more!

Acadia Woods Cottages are just 7 minutes from the main entrance to Acadia NP and a short drive to nearly everything else on the Island. Or, leave your car at home and jump on the free island explorer bus. The bus stop is directly across the street and it can take you nearly anywhere on the island.

Other amenities that are easily accessible within a 5 minute walk include:

* Town Hill Market for coffee, baked goods, basic sundries and ice cream stand!
* Atlantic Brewing Company/Mainely Meat Barbecue
* Eden Pizza
* Brrrr Harbor Shaved Ice
* Town Hill Playground - considered to be the best on the island by many of the local children!

These Cottage Rules ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for all our guests. We appreciate your cooperation.

Check-in/Check-out: 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM. This allows for a smooth and enjoyable arrival and departure experience.

Parking: Please park only in the designated space assigned to your cottage.

Smoking/Vaping: Strictly prohibited inside the cottage and in all common areas.

Quiet Hours: 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Parties/Events: Prohibited.

Pets: Not allowed in the cottages or on the premises.

Open Flames: Prohibited within the cottage (e.g., candles).

Bathroom: Please use the dark towels provided for makeup removal. Do not flush anything except toilet paper. Hygiene products, wet wipes, dental floss, and diapers should be placed in the garbage.

Garbage Removal: Please use the designated bins and follow recycling guidelines.

Wildlife: Do not feed wildlife (deer, squirrels, foxes, wild turkeys, seagulls).

Rental Agreement: At least 7 days prior to arrival, guests must sign a rental agreement that outlines these rules and the associated security deposit.

Security Deposit: A $500 security deposit hold will be placed on your card one day prior to arrival. Assuming the cottage rules are followed, the security deposit is released one day after check-out.

Note: Violation of these rules will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit and may result in immediate eviction without a refund.

A great cabin

This is in a great location, near Acadia NP, a short and easy 10 minute drive to the visitor's center. The cabin is located in a quiet, private setting. A perfect place for 2 or a small family. I would definitely and highly recommend this cabin

Lovely Cabin in Acadia

My friends had a great time here! Everything was beautiful and clean. The location was great too because we could easily get to anywhere we needed to. We also really enjoyed the community fire pit and ping pong table

We had a wonderful stay and this cottage suited our needs as a 5-person family perfectly. Enjoyed the amenities like the community fire pit and ping pong table. The site was also conveniently located near all the parts of Mt. Desert we visited.

Very cozy and clean cabin in a great location that is close to everything you plan on seeing in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The cabin and property was very thoughtfully planned out, from a guest book and information binder in the cabin, to a fire pit and stargazing area for the residents. There was also a convenient washer dryer in the cabin, and a great screened in porch to enjoy mosquito free! The kitchen was well equipped for enjoying eating in. Penny was great at communicating during our stay for any needs we had. This property was a great find for my wife and I, and we will return again!

When we arrived at Camp Tinker, we immediately noticed the pleasant and welcoming smell. Everything was very clean and the place was stocked with everything we would need for our stay. In addition to having laundry pods stocked, they also had dishwasher pods, and all the necessary cookware if we chose to cook. The location was very convenient as it was far enough away from the business of the town but also close enough to make it easy to get to town. There was a cute little book that you could share your experiences of what you've done in Bar Harbor, but I did not have a pen on me to write in it. We did so many wonderful things I would have loved to share. I would come back to Camp tinker in a heartbeat! Thank you for the accommodations.
