Redwood Nook (8 min walk to redwood state park)

Summary:

Tucked just steps from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and a short walk to downtown Felton’s shops and restaurants, this tiny standalone studio offers a no-frills, affordable home base for exploring the Santa Cruz Mountains. The studio sits at the back of a shared property that also includes two other rentals ("Redwood Oasis" and "Redwood Grove").



The Space:

This cozy 200 sq ft studio is best suited for solo adventurers or couples who pack light and spend most of their time out exploring. Inside, you’ll find a queen-sized memory foam bed with soft cotton linens and a compact kitchenette equipped with a gas cooktop, bar sink (shared with the bathroom), mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and the basics for simple meals (dishes, cookware, flatware).



Please note: The kitchen sink also serves as the bathroom sink, and there is no separate vanity.



Guest Access:

You’ll have full, private access to the studio cottage. A shared laundry room is available on the property, though access may be paused during winter months (typically December–April).



The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the heart of a charming mountain town, this studio is just a short walk from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, home to awe-inspiring old-growth redwoods and scenic trails. Right next door, Roaring Camp Railroads offers nostalgic steam train rides through the forest, plus family-friendly activities in its western-style station.



You’ll also be close to popular trails like Fall Creek, known for its fern-covered canyons and tranquil creekside paths. Downtown Felton is just minutes away and full of character, featuring unique boutiques, artisan coffee shops, and delicious local dining.



Looking for some sun and surf? Santa Cruz beaches, the Boardwalk, and coastal attractions are an easy 20-minute drive away.



Getting Around:

arking is easy and accessible in and around Felton. If you enjoy walking, you’re just a 10–20 minute stroll from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, the Felton Library, seasonal farmers market, and downtown shops and restaurants. Prefer to drive? All are just a few minutes away by car.



Other Things to Note:

🐾 Up to 2 house-trained dogs under 50 lbs welcome. $50 pet dog. Dogs must be house-trained, leashed outdoors, crated if left alone and not allowed on furniture or beds.



⚡ As with many mountain towns, occasional power outages may occur during storms. These are typically brief and infrequent.



🏊‍♀️ The pool and hot tub are reserved for guests in the two larger homes on the property. While not included with this studio, you may hear others enjoying them during designated hours.
