You can't go wrong with this beautiful home. This 2 bed / 2 bath home sleeps 4 comfortably. The floor plan is an open-concept living - kitchen - dining area. The master bedroom has a King size bed. The second bedroom has 2 Twin beds.

You are sitting beachside, literally walking out the door and onto the sand. This home is in a perfect location, not too far away from town but not in the middle of all the traffic. You are only 11 miles from Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn, 14 miles from Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier, and 16 miles from the Historic Strand District and all of the shopping and dining that it is known for. You are within walking distance of one of the only grocery stores on the West End and a great takeout restaurant. Added bonus, our guests have access to The West End Gym during their stay.

We do our best to ensure guests have a 5-star experience. Guests will be provided with a start-up supply of household items such as laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc so that upon check-in you do not need to run to the store. We do not provide salt, pepper, oils, and spices. If you are staying longer than a few days you will need to purchase these items. Thank you!

Beautiful beach view and beautiful decor, comfortable bed. The only problem was that the a/c did not cool the house during the day; it got up to 84 degrees inside the house in October. This would be the most amazing place if it had a bigger a/c unit and/or better insulation

This little beach house was the perfect getaway for my 2 tired momma friends and I to have the most relaxing vacation. Laying on the patio with the fantastic lounge chairs and people watching before everyone woke was my favorite part.Everything was clean and easy to find. The owners were quick to respond with issues (which were from a storm and not the house.) The house is also perfect distance from stuff. You have privacy but you don't feel like you have to drive forever to get groceries. (1 minute drive or 5 minute walk).Overall, the "Original Margaritaville" was a dream! Should we return to Galveston for another "mom trip" we'd love to stay there again.

Amazing location! The AC and beds were great, the house was cold and bed were very comfortable. House was clean. Room for improvement fix the broken glass door, it had a piece of wood covering it. Provide a working BBQ pit, it was falling apart. Outdoor cushions need to be replaced.

The views were amazing and the house was clean inside. It was a easy check in and out process. The house needs updating. The pictures are not what you get. There was no table on the deck and the amount of rust and repairs were endless. The air conditioning did not work properly , but maintenance did order a part to repair it after we left. The couch in the family area is the most UNCOMFORTABLE couch I have ever seen. It is worn also. There is a hot tub that has never been installed and the cushions on the outside downstairs need replacing really bad. This place has the potential to be a great unit, however right now it definitely needs work.

First let me say, yes, we would stay here again. Rare to find an affordable smaller place on the beach for only a couple or small family. Beach view and access are perfect. King bed comfortable, perfect for good night's sleep. Everything in the kitchen you would need. Very clean. Now for the not so perfect, but OK stuff: Stingy with the bath towels (only provided one bath towel and one hand towel for each potential occupant). No table or umbrella on deck as shown in pictures, so no shade. Outside cushions are weathered, faded & some torn, but do provide a softer place to sit. Didn't try to open the inside blinds, both because of the hot sun & because they are old, hard to open. Couch is comfortable enough but also old and scratched up. Just setting realistic expectations for the review, but again I repeat we would stay here again.

The house was just as described, was very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 lounge chairs on the deck but would’ve appreciated an umbrella or some type of shade as an alternative to full sun. The pictures on the listing need updating. The house numbers are painted the same color as the wood trim. The house is also painted a different color. The couch wasn’t real comfortable and is showing wear.

Beautiful view, clean home. The only negative were the outdoor chairs on the deck. One wasn't usable because the support would not extend as needed. The chairs pictured in the add were heavier and sturdier.

Cute cottage

Cute cottage perfectly located with easy access to the beach. Easy check in and out. Excellent communication. Everything clean and ready for use and space enough since it was only us two. Quiet neighborhood. Loved porch sitting which is the only con. A better shade or umbrella would be a benefit. Did not really use the downstairs area except for the shower which was great to rinse off. Would book again.

Great little beach house

We enjoyed staying here. Convenient beach property, no umbrella on the deck but a covered patio on the ground level. The master was a strange room with a large sliding panel rather than a door. The place is a bit dated and needs some repairs (fridge door doesn't close properly, siding on the west side was loose and banged all night in the wind) but overall it was a nice place, well equipped, and conveniently located. The property was prompt and courteous in replying to my questions. It was a bit dirty in the corners and places like the vents. Three sliding glass doors but only one worked. The A/C worked great -- which is super important in Texas! Very much enjoyed our visit despite the few broken things since it is right on the beach and close to a cool grocery store (Seven Seas.)

As far as location….. CANT BEAT IT!!! Absolutely beautiful & literally a few steps to the water!! Now the negatives… It could definitely use some updating… the couch is AWFUL- very dirty & old. A window broke (before our stay) & was boarded up with a huge piece of plywood (yes, it slightly obstructed the view) but the main issue was the 100’s of pieces/shards of glass all over the downstairs patio. I stepped on 2 pieces upon our arrival. I swept up as best as I could but we decided to keep our shoes ON the entire time (well, minus while in bed lol) The smoke detector was just sitting on a shelf- not even together. The temporary repair of the broken railing is unsafe & needs to be properly repaired. The filter in the dryer kept popping out.The kitchen “drawer” kept falling off…. Dang near gave us a heart attack in the middle of the night. The bedroom “barn door” is seriously heavy Also- the pics need to be updated because the outside of the house looks nothing like the actual house.

Needs attention

The pictures are out dated. At first we thought we were at the wrong place because the exterior paint was a different color than the pictures. Also there was no outdoor dining table or chairs like the pictures. The deck had rusty chairs and looked like it had been through a storm and no one fixed it. Which explained the broken glass window which was boarded up. There were broken glass shards everywhere. We could not walk barefoot for fear of getting cut on the deck, in the house, and under the deck. Other than that the house had everything we needed and was clean. It had a great view with private beach.

Beautiful view and beach in your backyard!

I absolutely LOVED this house. First, it is on a dead end street so there isn’t traffic driving by. Second, the beach in front of the house is a section where driving vehicles isn’t allowed. So even during the weekend, the beach wasn’t crowded and the view was spectacular. Third, you can just walk downstairs and right out to the beach. When you’re finished at the beach, there is a nice shower downstairs so you can rinse all the sand off before coming upstairs. Forth, the view from the deck can’t be beat. There are chairs to lay out, but we waited till the sun went down just behind the house. Then we sat all evening on the deck listening to the ocean and feeling the breeze. It feels about 20 degrees cooler on the deck at dusk than during the day. Fifth, I loved that the house is just a bit outside of downtown Galveston, but the drive to town was super quick (like 10 minutes). And there is a nice grocery store just a minute away—you could probably walk there quicker than we drove. The grocery store makes fresh sandwiches, salads, and dips—it was a MUST for us. Sixth, I love the open floor plan of the house. The master bedroom has a huge barn door that opens wide and I could lay in bed in the morning and look out onto the ocean. The bed was so comfortable too! While the pics online aren’t exactly updated, it didn’t bother me a bit because this house is an absolute gem. I wish it was my vacation house year round!
