Kudos to Anthony. Very good communication and help when I had a problem. The only problem with the property was the jetted tub. Unable to use it because there was no stopper.
Had a few minor issues like poor ROKU transmission, a too small coffee maker with mismatched coffee filters, no stopper plug for the whirlpool bath, the dishwasher left unemptied of cleaned items, and no safety rails to assist climbing out of the deep tub. On the whole, however, the rental adequately met our basic needs, and the rooms were clean. The owner is also to commended for extended the checkout time to accommodate our schedule. Very much appreciated and a good selling point to feel good about this host. Well done.

Thank you, Nathan, for staying with us and for the kind review. Glad the flexible checkout helped with your National Archives visit. We've noted the Roku, coffee maker and filters, whirlpool stopper, and dishwasher items and will address them ahead of future stays. You're welcome back anytime!
The Air Conditioning was off upon arrival. The outside temps were around 100 this was a 3rd floor unit. It was disgustingly hot in there. Took all night just to cool it down to a manageable temperature. The breaker kept popping bc of lack of power supply to the entire building. The place was clean at least.

The unit is well equipped with air conditioning units and ceiling fans in each room. The unit is also well ventilated with surrounding windows and insulated with thick curtains when sunny. The 3rd floor is usually warm as indicated on Vrbo website. The national weather temperature was beyond our control - blame it on climate change not on us. The week of July 4th was under national heatwave ALERT, which necessitated the government to close some July 4th activities. The heat situation was nation-wide. Guest did not remove trash in the unit nor did they recycle their wastes. They left trash in open paper bags with pet food all around the kitchen floor, which is pest control problem. Guest did not follow simple house-rule, including lack of communication throughout their stay. That is why they received 3 stars all around. However, I may still consider re-hosting if they can promise to follow house rules in the future. Thank you.
Listing as described. Steep narrow stairs as informed. Not staged, but someone lives there. Small quarters. Clean. Felt safe in neighborhood. Host was responsivere.
I was in the area for an event in College Park but wanted to stay in DC to be closer to all the attractions. This cute apartment is super close to the Green Line (Georgia Ave-Petworth stop), so going back and forth to College Park was a breeze, and it was convenient for getting downtown. Some great restaurants nearby (Thai food at the Pantry), and a short walk to President Lincoln’s Cottage historic site, which is well worth the trip. Anthony was responsive, and I appreciated the nice touches (tea!). Third floor made it a bit warm, but the AC made quick work of that. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
The metro was very close and we were able to get anywhere that we wanted to go in the DC area easily. We didn't rent a car so this was important to us. The kitchen met our needs as we were able to make breakfast and dinner. We usually went out to eat for lunch but saved money by making some of our own meals at the apartment. There were plenty of dishes and cooking materials to use in the apartment. We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time. The apartment was small but perfect for two people. If you are unable to do stairs then I wouldn't recommend this apartment since it is on the third floor. We checked in and out easily using a lock box on the porch.
My fiance and I stayed here for 5 nights. Anthony was quicky responsive to any questions and provided clear check in/out details.Parking was free on the street and we were emailed a pass to print to place in our car. There were generally at least a few spots open nearby. The Metro station is only about a 3-5 minute walk away which we loved. There were several places to eat, drink, or grab supplies or groceries all within walking distance. The apartment is up 2 flights of stairs with a common shared entry. The entry area could use a little brightening up, but the stairway and apartment were plenty bright. We found the apartment to be just right for our needs and quite enjoyed the array of mixed decor, furnishings and, variety! The house is older while obvious updates have been made to some areas such as tiled flooring, shower - and a jet tub. The kitchen and living room area are combined and not very big which was perfectly functional and comfortable for the two of us. The bedroom was quite large with plenty of room for our luggage and moving around. The bed was comfortable. We had both hot and cold weather while staying. The air conditioner in the bedroom will likely need updating before summer, but the one in the living area was great. There was an extra heater in the bedroom as well if the main heat wasn't enough. Some things here were older, some were newer....but everything was functional and clean. Other
This location was perfect. A quick 2 minute walk to the metro. And the downstairs neighbors were very friendly. Very central to everything we wanted to do in DC.

Things I really appreciated: (1) Communication and responsiveness of host. (2) House full of amenities including extra bedding/blankets, non-perishable items (e.g. spices, cooking oils, etc) on hand. (3) Air conditioner in both the bedroom and livingroom.Anthony was great to deal with before and during the stay. Definitely recommend.
Overall had a great stay at this unit. It is a third-floor unit with steep stairs to get in and out, and the shower tub is not accessible (high step to get in and out), so do not recommend for people with mobility issues. It is a very clean unit, has 2 ceiling fans and an individual A/C in the bedroom (can get hot when it is 95F outside in summer). Host provided great communication and check in process was easy. Note that the laundry (1 washer, 2 dryers) is behind the back of the unit, and have to walk outside and around the back to access, coin laundry (1.50 in quarters for each load). The location is excellent, only a few steps from the Georgia Ave/Petworth green line metro, and had good shops and restaurants nearby (I recommend Heat da Spot Ethiopian breakfast)
