We really liked all the animals that come to visit. Never seen a groundhog before in my life but we had one that came by the house a few times so it was cool. The deer are everywhere, and very tame so please be careful and watch for them if you drive in the area. The restaurants in the area are very unique and super good. Try Rio bravo Mexican restaurant and the Chinese buffet in Mason West Virginia over the bridge. The landlord is a super sweet lady very knowledgeable of the area. We slept well and the house had everything including strong Wi-Fi. We enjoyed our stay!
Everything was very nice and enjoyed our stay greatly.

It was lovely to stay here. Would definitely recommend it if you are wanting to have a nice and quiet getaway!!
The host was awesome and was ready to help out!
Needed a few days to relax and get away from busy lives. Charlene was the perfect host, meeting on arrival and then giving privacy to relax. Everything was available for cooking, laundry, and bathroom needs. Will definitely book again.

The cottage had a very authentic feel and the view of the stars outside was fantastic. Its tucked away from the road and there is forewood you can buy from the owner. There are also lots of amenities available in the colabin. My only suggestion woukd to
The cottage was peaceful and cozy. We enjoyed hanging out on the back porch and yard. Charlene was welcoming and friendly. I bought firewood from her and we made a fire and watched the stars at night. We had a nice retreat!

Host tried to demand unannounced entry
Shower was too weak to use, and tub drain didn't hold water, so a bath wasn't possible eitherBedroom doors do not close Listing doesn't really make you aware that the host home and the rental are mere feet from each other. You must park in hosts driveway and walk around to rental, and it's a trek, especially with groceries. All was quiet for 3 weeks or so into a 28 day stay.About 3.5 weeks in, I got a message asking us where we put our trash. We werent told and didn't see a place. This was our first STR stay, and we were already uncomfortable with the proximity to the host home. So, we just took our trash with us when we left. I responded telling the host this. I guess they didn't believe it because 5 minutes later, there was a knock on the door. It was unexpected so I went out the side door to find out what was going on. It was the host, they wanted in. I explained my husband wasn't fully dressed and was on the couch. Host response: 'well, can't he put pants on, so we can talk?'. I explained the reason he was undressed and on the couch was he wasn't feeling well. Host response : 'well can't we go into some other room, he's not in the WHOLE house, is he?'I finally said we valued our privacy. The response was to tell me I was being mistreated by my husband because he didn't deal with it instead of me.I was then told a checkout walkthrough WITH the host was required. Vrbo disagreed. Left early.too bad there's a character limit on vrbo reviews
The cottage was perfect for my significant other and I. The bed was extremely comfortable, the TV has all the streaming services imaginable, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the washer and dryer plus reliable WiFi were icing on the cake. For us, the best part was the beautiful serenity of the surrounding forest and campground of Wisteria. The land brings back the energy that’s drained from what can become the monotony of the every day 8 to 5 work life. Our souls feel rejuvenated and my partner and I only feel closer after our stay. This is truly a gem and is going to be one of the few cabins we make a constant stay in our mental health recovery vacations. Thank you so much for the hospitality and all the genuine kindness. We can’t wait to come back.
Me & my girlfriend celebrated our 1 year anniversary here, & we had an amazing time! The wifi was excellent & super fast, the beds were comfy, it was very clean when we got there. Charlene was an amazing host from start to finish, she made us feel right at home.
Loved the serene location tucked away in Meigs County. It's incredibly peaceful with lots of space to walk on the property. We were able to watch the stars for a bit with so little light pollution around. The cottage is a really nice change of pace rather than dealing with overpriced hotels in Athens. Very comfortable and was a nice respite for our student to get out of town for a weekend. Despite the winding roads, it's still easy to get to and from Route 32 and Athens. Charlene is very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely book again.
