Welcome to Sapphire Surf, a charming, ground-level “Old Florida” cottage nestled just blocks from both the village of Anna Maria and the sugar-white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. This single-story home offers easy, stair-free living with a seamless indoor-outdoor flow between the house, the screened lanai, and the private backyard pool.

Perfect for families, couples, or a small group of friends, Sapphire Surf places you in the heart of it all. You're just a 4-minute stroll to the beach via scenic Palmetto or Willow Avenue, or a short walk to the boutiques, cafes, and restaurants of historic Pine Avenue—including local favorites like the General Store and Ginny's & Jane E’s.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please run the dishwasher and return dishes, cups, and utensils to their proper cabinets and drawers.
Please wash a load of beach towels before leaving. Usually, 5 beach towels per large load. Cleaning staff will dry and put away.
Safe travels home and keep Sapphire Surf in mind for a return trip.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Parking is limited to two (2) vehicles and must be parked in the driveway.
Guests must complete and return our rental agreement within 7 days of booking their reservation to finalize their stay.

Fantastic place. Little things that make a big difference: nice, big beach towels, big quality beach umbrella, plenty of USB and outlets in multiple places, pool loungers. The items were the type you’d want, not just checking the box that they exist. Really lovely place & plan to return!

The moment we walked in the door it felt like home. The house was clean, hand towels in the bathrooms were shaped into shells (like on a cruse), beach towels, suntan lotion, books, games, full kitchen, First Aide Kit also. Every detail was taken care of.

This was our first trip back to AMI since 2019 and it did not disappoint. We are a family of 3 — mom, dad and 14-year-old daughter. The house was absolutely perfect for us. The listing photos don’t do it justice. We spent a lot of time reading on the lanai while our daughter sunned by and in the pool. The pool was clean and the temperature was just right. We took advantage of the provided beach chairs and umbrellas and had an easy 2-block walk to the beach. So many people rented golf carts to get around but our location allowed us to do everything we wanted to do (beach, eat, ice cream, repeat) within a short walk. We only used the car to make a trip to Publix off island. The house was very clean and well-appointed. We prepared most of our meals at the house and took advantage of the gas grill. All of the houses around us (except the one currently under renovation) were occupied but noise was never an issue. We can’t wait to go back and would definitely choose this property again.

Delightful Stay @ Sapphire Surf

We enjoyed everything about this lovely property. Too many great things to list here but highlights are:location so close to beach, restaurants and shops, well stocked kitchen and beach chairs, wagon, toys, backyard is a haven for sunning, relaxing and swimming, screened porch is dreamy and house is well furnished. Perfect stay on Anna Maria Island

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Anna Maria Island rental! The home was spotless, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal-just a short walk to the beach and town. After a day in the Sun, we loved coming back to relax in the private pool.The town had plenty of great restaurants, and we also enjoyed the surrounding area for more dining options. This property is perfect for a couple or a small family. I visited with my husband, daughter, son-in-law, and 8 year old granddaughter, and everyone had a great time. The check in process was so easy and Ramona & Mark were very accessible for any questions that we had. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing beach getaway.

This is a wonderful location, completely updated, fresh, clean and inviting! The screened in porch provided a lovely retreat from the heat and occasional Fla rain. I can't say enough about the location; it's an easy walk to plenty of eateries, shops and the beach! We didn't need a car! We'll definitely be back!And I also appreciated the stocked kitchen of cookware and the washer/dryer. There were even games and water toys left for the kids.

We didn’t want to leave! The house was adorable, very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. It was the perfect distance to walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. Perfect Spot, Space and Stay

Sapphire Surf is a great home to enjoy some time on AMI. The house has everything you need for a great stay and is in the perfect location. Beds are comfy, temperature was perfect and fans were a plus! Check-in was a breeze and all communications were exactly as needed. The pool is a plus and the landscaping is great! Easy walking distance to the beach and local restaurants, ice cream and crepes! I look forward to staying here again.

Growing up in New Jersey, I enjoyed spending time at the 'Jersey Shore' with my friends and family. I believe this is one reason why I wanted to own a home near the beach. I'm an avid quilter, which occupies the majority of my time as my children are now grown.

Why they chose this property

My friend who owns a home on Anna Maria Island invited me to spend time with her. I fell in love with the island from the first day. I went back with her one year later and started looking for a home for my family. Late 2011, we purchased Sapphire Surf for our enjoyement and people who want to rent it from us. What drew me to Anna Maria is the slow pace of life, great beaches, friendly people and simple life it offers.

What makes this property unique

Some of the unique benefits we enjoy while at the property are: Short walk to the beach, walking the beach looking for sea shells, sunsets (and sunrise), ice cream store around the corner, eating at Sunsets, Rod & Real, City Pier, and riding a bike to explore the island.
