This place is awesome! The views are amazing and the house is very cozy. The hosts were fantastic. We will definitely book again when the guys are back in town.

The place was dirty, had not been cleaned after last guess. The refrigerator was dirty had spilled food and hair in it. Same for the freezer. None of the floors had swept. Both bath rooms had soap scum. There were no washcloths had to go to Walmart and get washcloths. All of the windows were dirty and the sliding door tracks were full of bugs and dirt. The light fixture above the island had a thick layer of dust. Mud room and garage had not been swept for along time. We rented the house because it was listed as new and bright house. It was very disappointing.
You can’t beat the views from this location. We celebrated our family Christmas here. The basement space was great for the kids and the upstairs was well appointed.
The host made check in easy! Multi-generation family enjoyed a great weekend - plenty of space and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Our kids loved the basement with extra games. The view is stunning and we enjoyed sunsets over the bluff. Great location between Pentwater and Ludington!

My wedding party and I stayed here for my wedding weekend. Before we arrived, the host messaged us that there had been plumbing issues in the past and to make sure we did not flush anything except toilet paper, which we complied with all weekend. When we arrived there were a bunch of fans placed in the basement set up to dry the carpeting. It smelled musty as if there was some kind of leak down there. The whole weekend the house smelled like sewage. There was clearly a sewage issue before and during our stay. Additionally, the garbage had not been taken out of the garage before we arrived so there was old trash which accumulated bugs throughout our stay. There were also lots of dead bugs throughout the house, especially on the window sills and in cobwebs on the ceiling. There are beautiful views with the property and it’s close proximity to downtown Ludington, but I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are resolved.
The weather was excellent and the location ideal. The house was very clean and the area was very quiet. Saw incredible sunsets and lots of wildlife. Close enough to Ludington and Pentwater to enjoy both.
Our stay was wonderful. The home is very kid friendly and such a beautiful setting.
One suggestion…..perhaps put together a binder that contains house info: wifi, hot tub instructions, local attractions and restaurants, check out procedures. No complaints whatsoever!! Loved our week at the Ludington Lakehouse!!
We were blown away by the house especially the kitchen since I love to cook and had gourmet meals planned every night. Will definitely stay again in the future if it is available. Highly recommended.
This home was so nice and very clean. The view outside was beautiful. The sunsets were amazing. The yard was set up to sit up on the bluff to over look the lake. There was a fire pit with chairs to enjoy, plus a hot tub. So many things to enjoy. So nice and quiet. We can’t wait to stay again.
Thanks so much ,
The Benge /Winters family
Wonderful home in a breathtaking location. Perched up on the edge of Lake Michigan with stunning views. New home with great appointments. Comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. Wonderful hot tub. Only 10 min from Ludington. Can’t wait to come back next year.
Beautiful home and location for some peace and quiet!
This home is as advertised! So so nice! Well appointed! We were very impressed! Host and property manager were very responsive. The area is great for someone looking to get away from it all but still be within a 15 min drive of downtown Ludington. There is a great quiet beach access a mile down the road. Don’t miss checking out the reservoir and the overlook right down the street as well. The only concern we had that was nothing the host could control is the flies…just bring deet spray and long sleeves/pants with you if you want to hang out near the bluff and it’s fine!
The view was outstanding and the house immaculately wonderful with all the Vrbo items you would expect. An excellent place to stay with multiple adults. The lower level was well situated for sleeping and bathing with three separate sleeping areas/rooms.We found some nice restaurants from family friendly lunch spots, to a great menu bar and an upscale bistro with outstanding service and food.A waitress at the bar directed us to Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Dunes State Park six miles in on a dirt road to a place where, in the middle of the day in mid-October, we could let the pup "hunt" during our walk through the wooded path to the Lake Michigan beach. There he had fun crashing into the water like it was a toy.We also enjoyed the Mason County Picnic area that featured not one, but three Frisbie Golf courses in a golf-course like gassy setting along the bottom of one side of the Hydro Reservoir. Again, no one there this time of year and we gave free reign to the pup. This place is about 1/2 mile from the house. The only down-side is that the house is situated on a immense Vertical Cliff going straight down at least a hundred yards, dangerously not fenced or extensively marked. We were very careful to keep the dogs away on the large lawn between the house and the ledge.
The property was as described it was very nice, the location was great, near attractions, stores and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked and games for the kids. My problem although several was the master bedroom because that is were I slept. The bed was comfortable but the linen, pillows, sheets and comforter was very worn and thin. The carpet leading down to the lower level was stained, the throw rug on the hall bath was torn. Two weeks before we checked in I asked if there was a coffee maker, the host said yes but upon arrival there wasn’t one, was told it was on order. The property instructions were misleading, we were told to rinse our feet in a tub located alongside the hot tub so not to track sand into the hot tub, no rinse tub was there. We were also instructed to put two scoops of a shock treatment into the hot tub after each usage which would be located in a container next to the hot tub or the water would get murky and dirty. Neither were there so we didn’t use the hot tub not knowing when it was sanitized, we were also told to put the garbage in the bins located in the garage, not there either. Finally located them down the hill at the foot of the driveway. I took pics and sent them to the host, he sent out the housekeeper. She informed me that the host knew these things and linen, and coffee pot were on order. Someone had put taped on the walls in the kitchen and family room and pulled it off taking off the paint and drywall. He also knew about that.
The property is fascinating and the location is beautiful. It had one of the best views of Lake Michigan. Also the property is on a hill and not at ground level, so beach cannot be accessed directly. The only small concern we had was a bad smell persistent in the living room area and not sure where it came from, nothing that bothered the group much but was definitely evident every day. Communications with our host were excellent and he would respond back to us quickly. Overall, would recommend this property for visiting.
