Gorgeous views, quiet area and very comfortable cabin
The owner sent very detailed directions and instructions and reached out to make sure everything was as expected. This cabin has such a gorgeous view and large porch with lots of sitting room. The accommodations were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and baking. We had everything needed to cook/grill from scratch for 7 days, including the Thanksgiving meal. We were able to hike from the cabin into the GSMNP and found this area very peaceful. Would definitely rent this cabin again!

Great place
Our second vacation at this cabin. We love it here, and plan on visiting again! Clean, not on top of other houses, and close enough to many different fun things to do!

Inviting
Quaint, charming, and cozy- with all the comforts of home. We loved seeing the abundance of deer and turkey among the serene landscape, as well. Highly recommend. Daniel Mizell

Cabin in the snow
Beautiful and cozy cabin with everything we needed for our stay. Clean and beautiful decor. The snow was an unexpected but exciting event. Bitsy was available if we needed anything. But we didn’t need anything because all we needed was there! Thanks to the Dupree’s for letting us enjoy their cabin!!

My wife and I visited friends on Chilhowee mountain 20 years ago and in 1998, we purchased our Little Get Away. Bitsy and I have raised 4 children and we vacationed at our cabin multiple times a year. We love our Tennessee Cabin and our kids have many fond memories of hiking, cycling, fishing, swimming, tubing, roasting marshmallows around the campfire while playing guitars and singing, or just sitting on the porch sipping a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate and enjoying the spectacular view. Our kids are now grown and raising families of there own, but they still love to spend time at the cabin. Bitsy and I would now like to offer others the ability to spend time with there families or spouses building wonderful memories as we have. The cabin sits on 5 attached acres. We own approximately 20 acres around our cabin. You can walk or drive 1 mile to Look Rock Tower and enjoy the view of the Great Smokey Mountains (550,000 acres) or look to the west and see the cities of Maryville and Knoxville. We love our mountain!

Why they chose this property

This cabin is secluded, right off the Foothills Parkway, but close enough that with a minimal drive you can visit Cades Cove a pioneer settlement from the 1800's, or shop at the quaint shops in Townsend, or spend a day at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, or spend a day seeing the sites in Gatlinburg. White Water Rafting is also close by in the pigeon river or tubing in the little Tennessee River is right in Townsend. The cabin is also only 8 miles to the Dragon down the Foothills Parkway
