So glad you enjoyed it! We loved having you. Come back soon!
Really loved the house, the space, and the location. It was perfect for our family. Great space for kids and us! The views were amazing. We will definitely be back.
Great spot, easy to communicate with property manager. Home was clean, Internet worked well
and the view was amazing! Please be aware there is a two mile drive on a gravel road up the mountain to access the home.

Glad you enjoyed it and yes, the house, like most houses in the area with great views, requires a little drive up the mountain. The state has been doing a project to pave right up to the neighborhood entrance but in the mean time the gravel portion is longer than it will be in the future. Glad you had a great time!
It was a good stay. Just beware in the winter, this is basically at the top of the mountain and the last 2 miles are gravel roads. The driveway was ice when we got there but we bought a few bags of rock salt, salted the driveway and steps and then it was good. But one of our cars couldn't make it up the road, so they're not kidding in their recommendation of AWD or 4 wheel drive vehicles. Great views, and it was a good weekend. Hosts are very responsive.
We had 5 adults and 4 kids (3-6yo) stay here, and everyone had a great time. Very wonderful, cozy cabin. Main living room area and dining is a little small, but we didn't mind at all because we spent most of the time (and ate all our meals) on the porch. We loved the deep, covered porch, and just watching the view and enjoying the cool breeze that came in every evening.
Good privacy here, there's one other cabin just up the road, and we had no worries letting the kids play in the yard (no steep dropoffs that concerned us, and you're' almost the last house on the road, so almost no traffic)
If you like to hit the waterfalls, craborchard falls is only about 15 min away, and you don't even leave the mountain. We took the kids there a couple of times, everyone loved playing in the water
Would recommend, good chance we come back here again!

Thanks so much for the great review! And we also definitely recommend visiting the waterfalls!
My husband and I traveled to the Banner Elk area with our boys, daughter-in-law, and 6-month old granddaughter. We enjoyed this cabin’s quiet setting and the comfortable furnishings inside. Our ventures to Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and Blowing Rock were about 30-40 minutes from the property. During the evenings we played board games, air hockey, foosball, and relaxed in the spa. Each morning the sunrises were beautiful from the loft. Other than an unfortunate water leak that occurred shortly before our stay, the only complaint we had was the muddy road leading to the neighborhood. However, once the major road project is complete the conditions of the last two-mile stretch are sure to improve.

Thank you so much for your review Wendy. The AC leak was unfortunate but luckily it was fixed right before you arrived but I apologize. Todd, you had to deal with the wet spot on the carpet during your stay. We too are very ready for the road construction project to be done! It will be a lot less muddy and dusty once completed.

My family and I are from Florida and we bought this place to escape the Florida heat and let our kids get to explore the mountains and the great outdoors. We love sharing this place and we've fallen in love with the surrounding area. There is so much nature to explore and fun stuff to do in every season
Why they chose this property
At the top of the mountain, this place feels like you are the only one in the area. It's quiet, secluded and the sunrises are absolutely breathtaking.
What makes this property unique
It's beautifully decorated, we try to include a lot of family friendly activities to make sure everyone can be entertained on the rainy days. The secluded feel makes it feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself.
