Spectacular views from the living area, bedroom, and back porch. The house is a bit older bit functioned very well for our 2 night stay. Our group of two couples were comfortable and had plenty of room to stretch out. A great place to stay when visiting Homer.
Perfect location - convenient to town, but away from all the action. The house was as described and communication was excellent. I loved the space we had and all the available sleeping arrangements. The views across the bay were beautiful.

This was a great house for us! It’s just outside of town enough that it’s quiet but close enough to buzz in to town for whatever your agenda is for the day. Very nicely decorated, comfortable beds and towels, fantastic views!
Namastay is the perfect name for this relaxing place. We stayed for 7 days and took in the beautiful view, tea on the deck, relaxing couches, cozy comfort all around. The quirkiness of the ceilings on the 2nd floor made it fun to navigate - not just a square box. The yard and plants (indoors and out) had a comforting feel. Not a lot of outside noise. We felt at peace and would return again.
We enjoyed our short stay! It was perfect for our needs and the views from the deck were beautiful! I made sure to sit on the deck and drink my coffee in the morning! We would stay again if we are in the area!
Loved this property. Beautiful views. Property owner was easy to work with. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

The spacious property had a terrific view and was located near activities/tours my family wanted to take. For an added touch, it would be well received to have bath soap and shampoo available to guests.
Everything was great. Easy to get around Homer. Communication was great. Going to Katmai was the highlight of our trip. We was able to go to Denali,Seward, Homer and Anchorage
Beautiful view and nice and cozy. The stairs going up to the bedrooms can be hard and the second bathroom is downstairs. The main bedroom has a bathroom that is attached. The host was wonderful and very helpful. Overall the stay was wonderful!

House was clean and spacious for our family of 4. The view of the mountains and water were top notch and made it beautiful. Hard to tell from the photos but there are other houses pretty close by and sitting out on the deck I could hear very clearly other people having phone conversations so it was not as quiet as we had hoped. The key box to gain entry was jammed and difficult upon arrival and there were some plumbing issues on the first day that were a nuisance but overall the stay was lovely for the three nights we stayed.
Only a short drive to downtown Homer, this home has amazing views to the glacier and mountains across the bay. Even though it rained A LOT throughout our stay, the windows ensured we had plenty of light and felt connected to the outdoors, while the window coverings in the bedrooms ensured a good night’s sleep. The home was VERY clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated the nature guides and local info on the bookshelf, and the sandhill cranes in the yard were a treat!
Family of 5 adults. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property manager was great to work with. Only had one, very minor, issue that was immediately taken care of. This was a return trip for my husband and myself. We brought other family along so they could experience what we had the previous summer. Everyone was very happy. Loved the home and the view. Hope to stay again.
We booked this house based on the views in the listing pictures and we were not disappointed. THE VIEW IS NOTHING SHORT OF SPECTACULAR!!
The house is located about 6 miles from town so a car is a must. The drive to town is scenic and not an inconvenience at all.
The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow so that should be a consideration if you are elderly or handicap.
Also the master bedroom has the only real bed. The rest of the beds are cots or futons. There is also no washer or dryer. Not a problem for us but it might be useful information tor others.
Our only real complaint is a small one - the grass needed to be trimmed around the walkway to the door and at the base of the deck stairs.
We would rent this house again.

About the host
Hosted by Jaime Gable
20 years ago, I ventured to Homer, Alaska on a quest to explore the Last Frontier. I was young, eager and fresh out of college searching for a place to call home and plant my feet for awhile. Being a sun-loving surfer chick, I never in my wildest dreams imagined that a place like Alaska could capture my attention for long, or steal my heart. It did. To my amazement, it wasn't just the breathtaking scenery and jaw-dropping views that Homer offered that kept me yearning for more - it was the combination of the remarkable natural beauty with its outstanding community. Having grown up in the suburbs of Pennsylvania, I had never experienced true community the way that I did upon arriving at the end of the road. Since that time, I have adapted my lifestyle in order to maintain a home-base here. As a result of this alternative lifestyle, I have been able to live out many dreams - one of which has been my passion for traveling. The long, dark winter months beckon me to throw some meager belongings into a backpack and hit the jet stream. My travels include destinations such as Africa, India, Colombia, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico. And my list is still long. It is my own passion for traveling combined with my love for Homer, Alaska that made me decide to open up my home to other travelers. Besides my love for exploring foreign lands, I also love to garden, hike, cook, and spend time with my beloved dog, Rufus.
