The Cedar Island Ferry and Beach is 15 minutes from the house. If you hop on the ferry there it will take you to Ocracoke.

The Davis Ferry terminal is 15 minutes away in the other direction and will take you to Cape Lookout National Seashore. There are beautiful beaches and a lighthouse. You can take your 4x4 vehicle across or rent a side by side to take over and get around.

Atlantic Beach is 45 minutes away. There you will find Fort Macon where you can tour the actual fort, hang at the beach or take a walk on one of the trails. The town of Atlantic beach also has beautiful beaches and some great restaurants!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Seashell Cottage. It was a very nice home with everything we needed. It's located on a dead end street and it was very quite. If we ever visit the area again we will definitely stay here again.

The lady that lived across the street that helped us out while you were on vacation was amazing. Her and her husband handled the ac issue we had in no time and consistently checked in on us. Definitely great neighbors to have and I’d feel comfortable having them look after my property any day.

Quaint, comfortable home, well kept, nicely decorated and equipped. Meg is friendly and responsive in providing booking information and directions with an excellent information folder in the home. Seashell Cottage, located in Sea Level (almost at Sea Level an hour north of Beaufort, NC) was Great for us, half mile from our daughter and grandkids. Near sound water views and rural community.

The perfect place for a seaside getaway! Just unfortunate we came on a severe weather, so we just stayed indoors. But the amenities and place made us feel at home!

This is a cute cottage it is an older cottage, so it has its own problems that any older cottage has. Beautifully decorated the beds 100% comfortable some of the best sleep ever. As for cooling the split unit in hallway went out for 2 days while there, but there is air conditioning units in bedrooms and living room. Bathroom does need some work to keep it cool and I’m not so sure the vent worked in there. It just needs new air conditioning capabilities. Way too many fragrance plugins. Some of the kitchen stuff we went to use was still dirty and greasy. Closet in the biggest bedroom stays very damp inside, just didn’t use. The only bad honestly was the cooling system. We had a good stay and it was absolutely adorable.
