Had a lovely time with family and friends for Canada Day weekend. Host was extremely accommodating, reachable, and the property was in excellent condition. Would rent again without hesitation.
Our family (10 members) found the premises totally adequate. Close to the lake yet far enough not to be afraid for the younger children. Spacious inside with all the necessary amenities and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Labrador Lodge is a very comfortable and great place for a large group/family. Plenty of space for all ages to play or relax. Ski hills are a short driving distance from the lodge. Great hiking trails surround the lodge as well. Outdoor skating is nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Just left after a week there with friends, and already missing it! The property had everything we needed in terms of space (enough to house 12 of us comfortably, with a bedroom to spare, and two living areas), amenities (full kitchen, laundry, BBQ, big screen TV), a dock with an “upper deck” sitting area, and two fire pits. All situated on a beautiful and quiet lake. Can’t wait to rent it again!
I enjoyed my stay at the lodge the only thing was that the barbq was not functional and also on the 2 floor where the kitchen is there was no Tv. The only tv was on the main floor but we were barely there. I would have also loved to have a spa included. Overall our stay was really nice very clean everything was included in the lodge. Also they should put a balcony on the second floor from the kitchen to put the barbq on it cause the barbq is downstairs outside in the front of the house.
This property has the potential to be great.
1. During our first night, we noticed mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. We set a trap and caught it on the second night. We only caught one but we felt uneasy that there were more crawling around throughout our trip.
2. The view to the water is obstructed by trees and the dock is actually a short walk down the road instead of in front of the cottage.
3. There is no deck on the upper level, so barbecuing and eating outdoors required food being brought up and down the stairs.
4. It rained very hard during our stay and there were several tornado warnings, but I don't think heavy rain should cause roof leakage to the point we experienced. We needed a bucket. And it was obvious from the marks on the ceiling that this was not the first time it had happened.
5. This property is spacious, private, neighbours were friendly and the motorless lake is quiet and small. So there were some things we enjoyed, but based on the rental rate and what we experienced, I would not return.
Very nice cottage, clean, and spacious. The lake was lovely, a brief walk from the cottage. Had an amazing week! My only complaint is that it is not handicap accessible, we had several older family members that struggled with the stairs inside and out of the cottage. Would suggest handrails and shower grab grab bars to prevent slipping in shower. The garbage storage was a problem, bears tore apart the garbage 3 days in a row so had major clean up to do. Need to make it animal proof!

More of a Skiing Cottage
It's a really big cottage just like it shows on the pictures. But, this place to us would be better suited for the skiing season. You can't swim in the Lake. This walk down off the dock is very dangerous. There are rocks which should be removed, there was a big log over the dock so good thing we checked around it. The water is clear but if you walk in it, it's mucky. The canoe was a plus. It's not water front. Yes you can see the Lake from all the windows. There isn't any good fishing here which was very disappointing for the kids and myself. Yes there is stuff to do in the area but once back to the cottage they were bored. It doesn't have air conditioning, the hot days were really too hot in the cottage. We had all the fans going. You should add more ceiling fans, the one up really high didn't do much. The first day and second there the floors were all wet from all the humidity. A easy fix would be to have a dehumidifier in the basement. You need to replace the two couches they were terrible to sit on. The chairs are good. Because of the kids having not much to do was harder on us parents. It is a beautiful cottage and clean but not enough to do. Sorry, Liz
