I could not have enjoyed the stay more. Our dog had a wonderful stay on his first vacation. I have never been to a more dog friendly location. The water was wonderful! Fishing from the dock was our youngest child’s favorite way to pass the time. We loved this property and everything about it! We are looking into when we can go back!
Where to begin, if you’re looking for a 5 star stay with all the bells and whistles this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a quiet , relaxing, charming, clean, with all the outdoor , nature nick- nacks with the most amazing , beautiful views, this is your heaven. Coming in on the 4 of July, I was overwhelmed by all the people , so many people. Going onto the island all the cabins were packed in next to each other. I was getting doubtful of my quiet piece of paradise. The property is on its on little peninsula, and even fenced in. You instantly go from a crowded mall to a quiet little cabin in the woods. You see and hear nobody from your own private little beach with your own private Dock. You have about 20 feet of beach on both sides of your dock that go out about 15 feet with about a foot of water perfect for young kids to play and swim. The fishing was absolutely amazing. We’ve got at least 20 fish off the dock and at least twice as many off the canoes and rowboat that are provided with the property. With fishing tackle and poles. This is an amazing piece of property and I can’t say enough about it.

The location is beautiful. On a peninsula that overlooks a clean pond. The camp had a strong mold/ mildew smell. So much so that we left a day early. We did notify the owner. She was apologetic. The furniture was supported by plywood (couch and chair) the outside had trash around it. The biggest issue is the smell. It is very strong and strongest in the bedroom that has the only double bed. I could not recommend this until the issues are attended to.
This is a classic Maine cottage. What super makes this enjoyable is the property. You have no neighbors from the back deck and its very quiet. We met a couple of neighbors who appreciated our jazz musician son who made it extra special. We plan on going back.
