We spent a wonderful week enjoying Parker Pond, which was perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking. On our one cool day, the fire in the main room was wonderful. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a low key stay somewhere.
The cottage turned out to be just right for us, although the photos made it seem more spacious than it is. It was well stocked and clean. The kayaks and SUPs were really appreciated. P
This little cabin has all you need. We visit Casco every year, and this is one of our favorite places to stay. Parker Pond is small, but full of the fish and wildlife you want to see, without the vast expanse of water, and big, noisy boaters of a large lake. I esp like the gradual slope from cabin to lake edge, instead of the steep pitch other lots on this lake have. Thanks also to our guest contact, for answering all our questions.

Nice stay on Parker Pond.
We had a wonderful time, and especially liked the convenient location. Breezes off Parker Pond were welcome in the summer heat. Screened in porch is a nice feature, and makes the cabin interior seem larger than it is.
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property on Parker Pond from Aug.19-27th. The 4 of us (kids ages 6 and 11) as well as our 2 pups really loved this cozy cabin. The beautiful views from the porch, the great dock to sit and sip coffee and the availability of SUP boards and kayaks were all highlights.
Upon arriving we were thrilled to find the handy QR codes that the owner left to explain all of the quirks and amenities of the camp. It's very evident that this camp has been a well-loved home for generations.
The only downside to the property was the traffic noise that unfortunately comes across the pond from the roadway on the other side. I only mention this in case travelers are looking for a camp with more quiet. However, it did not deter from the serenity of the property.
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!
This is our second stay at Ryan's cottage and it was perfect! Self-Check-in is easy and quick and Ryan is very responsive to any communication and very accommodating. The camp was clean and cozy and fully stocked with most everything you need! Recent improvements have created a lovely daylight basement area with sauna and big screen TV. The upstairs is more traditionally "campy" and cozy and has a great screen porch. There is a new and very nice propane fire-pit. Parker Pond is quiet and lovely, plentiful fishing and lovely kayaking to be had. The dock is easily accessible for most (some stairs but not many) and close to the camp itself. We saw Loons, ducks, an Eagle, a Heron, turtles, fish...lots of fun wildlife to watch for. The little village of Casco is close by and Naples Causeway is not far and has a lot of fun things going on all the time. A lovely vacation and perfect end to our summer!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
There were some positives and some big negatives. We loved the location, but the road noise is pretty loud. The dock was great. The kids had a good time swimming and fishing. At first glance the house seemed clean, but it wasn't. The bathroom sink needs a good cleaning because it is slow to drain. I lifted couch cushions to see if it was a pullout downstairs, big mistake. But the worst was outside. So many areas that could be great but everything was filthy. No one bothered to get it ready for the season. A vape was left out, rusty screws everywhere, broken glass. Chairs were covered in bird poop, cobwebs, pollen. The yard was just a mess.

Hi Jennifer, thank you again for taking the time to respond. I appreciate the additional context. There were several things you mentioned that should not have happened, and I take responsibility for those. The vape left by contractors between check-ins was completely unacceptable, and the chair by the fire pit should have been cleaned better before your arrival. Both issues have been addressed. The slow drain has also now been fixed. While I acknowledge those concerns, I do respectfully disagree with the broader conclusion that the property had not been prepared for the season. Pine needles and pollen are a constant part of late spring in Maine and can accumulate very quickly, sometimes overnight. The photos of the entrance, yard and canoes you posted, look identical to the listing- a cabin on the water in the woods. That said, I understand your expectations were different, and I genuinely regret that your first impression was not what I strive to provide.
We stayed here and it was very scenic! A great place for 2 or less people! Very tight and could use some renovations but fun.

Hi Hailee, this homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "Thanks for taking a moment to share your appreciation. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate your suggestion. Since your review was published in 2022, we have done a great deal of renovations to the property including all new windows, baseboards, sliding doors, a brand-new sauna, and a new refrigerator. We also had new flooring put in and surround sound has been added to the lower level. We hope you return soon so you can enjoy these new offerings!"
We enjoyed our stay! The house is rustic -- but cute and clean. Having a screened in porch was a great bonus. We spent most of our time outdoors on the deck, dock and water. Great, timely communication with our host. Enjoyed the kayak and paddle boards on the quiet waters. The road is quiet and great for walking the dogs.
