Beautiful home is walking distance to Bar Harbor dining and shopping. Bed rooms are good size with comfortable mattresses. Well stocked kitchen . Grocery store right around the corner. This restored home is a must stay if going to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor.
Beautiful, very clean, comfortable home in a perfect downtown Bar Harbor location. We had everything we needed to enjoy relaxing at home, walking to shops and restaurants, and going into Acadia National Park. Jean left an extensive list of favorite places to go, and she was quick to respond when we had a question. Will definitely go back!

Spacious, clean, well maintained, excellent location
Nice touches...for example, plenty of gas for the grill and a full spare. Third floor suite is spacious, comfortable and fun. Nice flowers on the porch, flower boxes and in the yard.
The house was beautiful. Fully furnished with every amenity one can think of. Nothing was left to chance. The host was easy to communicate with. Couldn't have asked for better accommodations.

Fantadtic home!!! Perfect location for wslking everywhere in Bar Hatbor.
Jean was very helpful and quick to respond with any of my questions. The house is beautifully decorated with super comfortable beds and plenty of room for our latge group. The kitchen is well situated for all cooking needs and it felt like HOME ftom the moment we arrived!!! I would highly recommend and hope to return.
This was our first visit to Bar Harbor. We had a fantastic week not only because of the town and proximity to Acadia, but also this wonderful home. Jean was fantastic to work with and very responsive. The home is immaculate and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and the easy walking distance to town was amazing. We have absolutely nothing but positive feedback and would love to return!
The house was perfect for our family. It was nicely decorated, very clean and had all amenities needed. It was an easy walk to the grocery store and to town shops and restaurants and a short drive to Acadia National Park. There was plenty of parking for three vehicles. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was quick to respond to our questions.
We visited Bar Harbor and were lucky enough to stay at this house for 10 days! It was so large and comfortable. My husband and I went with 4 young adult children. Couldn't have been better! Very clean and well stocked. We were able to walk out the door and be downtown in minutes. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.
The house and stay were almost flawless and perfect for families.
Pros: walkability, air conditioning, quality furnishings and well-stocked kitchen, super clean. Good owner communication.
The only negative from our point of view is that the VRBO listing at time of booking had the check out time as 10 a.m., but the welcome email from the owner (received two days before the stay) said we had to be out by 9:30 a.m.
Overall, highly recommended!
My family has been going to Bar Harbor to vacation for over 3 decades. We have always camped or stayed in a modest 1 room cabin in Southwest Harbor. This year, we traded "The Quiet Side" for convenience and stayed at this beautiful 5 bedroom home for a three generation family gathering. It did not disappoint! Spacious rooms and beautiful kitchen on a quiet street, all within walking distance of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, a playground, and a grocery store. It also put us nearly a half hour closer to all of our old favorite attractions and some new favorites. Even our hard to please family members were blown away!
We had such a fabulous stay at Jean’s house! The house was so very comfortable. It had plenty of everything we needed to make us feel at home…extra pillows, linens, blankets, spices…she even left some condiments in the fridge for our use so we wouldn’t have to buy them. The house is right around the corner and within walking distance from everything. It was so nice not having to mess around with parking! We would make our coffee and stroll the town in the morning and have cocktails and play games in the beautiful flower filled yard in the evenings. We had a friends come and stay with us for a few days and everyone had their space. The AC worked very well and the house was spotless. We absolutely loved our week at this house.
Perfect Location; Beautiful, Comfortable Home Away From Home
This property is one of our family's favorite vacation rentals. The location is ideal: walkable to everything in Bar Harbor but tucked away in a little square between the main streets. It was quiet yet close to everything. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is updated and stocked with high quality cookware. The dining room seats a crowd, and the living room is a lovely place to lounge together with plenty of seating. We found comfortable beds, clean updated bathrooms, and outdoor seating on the porch and in the pretty side yard. The third floor master suite is accessed via a small twisty staircase that is a bit steep. But the reward for the climb is a tranquil oasis at the top of the house. A heat pump guarantees the space will be comfortable year round. Our host was helpful and gracious. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
The location is absolutely fantastic. We were able to walk anywhere is Bar Harbor that we wanted to go, and it was only a short drive to Acadia National Park. The house itself was a beautiful Victorian with plenty of space for large families and came with a very well stocked kitchen. I would stay here time and time again if I was in the area. Can't recommend it enough!
This property is exceptional in every way, and by far our all-time best rental experience. First, the house is beautiful inside and out, artfully furnished and clean, and so well-appointed that we instantly felt at home. Having three spacious floors and such comfortable beds allowed each of us to have our own space, and the washer/dryer was a bonus after hiking in Acadia each day. Air conditioning was a plus as well, although the home rarely needed cooling, even in summer. Second, the location could not be better. A grocery store, shops, restaurants, taverns, the shore path, and the land bridge are all a 5-10 minute walk away. Our host was equally lovely, sending us restaurant recommendations, and sharing every home detail right down to use of the remote controls. We could not have had a better stay and cannot wait to return!
The home is in a great location. We were within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, grocery store, the dock for boat tours and the land bridge to Bar Island. If you can’t make it to Cadillac Mountain for sunrise the view along the walking path at the harbor is quite nice. We explored much of Acadia and all within a 10-25 minute drive. Parsons Seafood is a good place to pick up fresh lobsters to cook at home. They will even let you borrow a pot. It was a fun experience and way less expensive then going out. We had 10 people in our group ranging from nine years old to 73. There was plenty of room for us all. Having the basement was very nice to store our bikes and the washing machine and dryer were a plus. The kitchen was the best stocked I’ve ever seen for a rental home. We also enjoyed spending time in the yard surrounded by beautifully landscaped flower beds. Would love to visit again.
We loved the accommodations at 2 Roberts Square. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect. The mini market, grocery store and town all in walking distance. It was the best location for a family of 9. Everyone kept busy enjoying all that Acadia and Bar Harbor had to offer. My son and his girlfriend flew in from Denver and gave a "thumbs up" to the bus system. Thurston's Lobster Pound was terrific, loved the lobster rolls! Beal's is great as well and can seat a large number of people. Jean and Rodger's recommendations did not disappoint. We enjoyed the carriage ride bridge tour in Acadia, Cadillac Mountain at sunset was beautiful and the sunset boat cruise was enjoyed by all 9 of us. Thanks to Jean and Rodger for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home.
The property was clean, comfortable, great kitchen, dining room, living room, spacious and clean bedrooms and bathrooms; great proximity....minutes walk into Bar Harbor, supermarket, and five-minute drive to Acadia National Park. Best of all worlds. Felt very comfortable living in this house. Highly recommending this house to friends visiting Bar Harbor.
Great location on a quiet side street in the heart of Bar Harbor. Quick walk to grocery store, shops, and shore! Worked out well for two families with 6 kids ages 5-11. Clean, good condition, very well appointed kitchen.
First, I would like to say that this place was ABSOLUTELY perfect. They are located right downtown Bar Harbor. It is on a side street, so you don't have to worry about foot traffic but it is only 1/2 a block from the main street. One block away is a fully stocked grocery store, so we never had to drive to pick up groceries. The stores, restaurants, etc. are all 1/2 block away. Only 2 blocks is the land bridge to Bar Island. It was perfect to go to.
They have a beautiful yard to play in with kids and ample parking for 3 full minivans. It honestly was the best I could imagine.
There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor with a full bath. These rooms are very comfortable to stay in. They have window air conditioners in each of these. It was relatively hot the first day we got there so turned these on. They worked perfectly. They have a huge loft bedroom with a full bath on the third floor. This (and the ground floor) were air-conditioned through a central air, which also worked perfectly.
They have a very nice half bath on the first floor that we used all the time.
They have a wonderful gas grill that was easy to grill up some burgers. They have a fully stocked kitchen. The basement (which is actually really nice) has the washer and dryer which we used quite often. The sheets they provided are SOO comfortable. I almost asked where she got them from so I could buy them for my house.
I can't express how perfect this house was for us. Well worth the price. It was very clean, updated, and had a location you couldn't beat. If this place is booked, you honestly should wait until it is available again. You can't go wrong.
Great downtown location and beautifully renovated home with everything a family would need. We had such a wonderful time and it was a much needed a deserved Covid vacation. Jean was responsive and helpful! Would return for sure.
We had a party of 9 and everyone thought the place was perfect. It was close to everything we needed. We could walk every where if we wanted to. The house is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, we were very impressed.
The property at 2 Robert’s Square was perfect for our visit to Bar Harbor. We have vacationed on MDI since 1997 and this home exceeded our very high expectations. Other than food and beverages, the home was stocked with everything needed for the week-long stay. Although downtown parking and traffic is less of an issue in early June, it was great to be able to have a short walk to the restaurants and harbor. We recommend this property to anyone looking for perfect home for an in-town Bar Harbor experience.

Why they chose this property
We had made countless visits to Bar Harbor & beautiful Acadia National Park before we finally found this house, which has become a true second home for us, our children and grandchildren. We love the openness and flow of the house, the in-town location, the Island, and the people. We hope you'll enjoy this wonderful house as much as we do.
