Cabin in the Woods - Near Ricketts Glen - With Many Modern Amenities

We invite you to enjoy our fabulous cabin on 7 acres a of wooded land that is only 1 mile from Ricketts Glen State Park. The location cannot be beat, and the activities are endless!

This cabin is located 1 mile from the trail head of Ricketts Glen State Park Falls Trail - home to 22 gorgeous waterfalls. The cabin is also in close proximity to Lake Jean - where you can rent a kayak/canoe, go to the sandy beach of the lake, swim, fish, or ice skate!
The possibilities are endless!!!

This all-wood cabin is rustic yet has all modern amenities - air conditioning, internet, DISH TV, fully stocked kitchen (utensils, place settings, glasses, cooking utensils, pots/pans), indoor gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit and park style charcoal grill. There is also a large deck for outdoor living space! The kitchen was newly remodeled too!!

Come make yourself at home and enjoy your time!

Note -
There are landscape ponds on the property. Caution should be taken near water with children.

A high chair and pack and play are also available for use.

Linens - Sheets and Towels provided for an additional fee - upon request.

Firewood is not provided but is sold nearby.
Please purchase firewood nearby for the firepit. Due to lantern fly infestations in other parts of PA, we prefer you do not bring firewood from outside the area.

Check-out: 11am

*Check-in/out times may be adjusted with prior approval. If check-out is later than 11am, not previously approved, and affects another reservation part of the security deposit may be withheld.

When staying between Nov - April some snow accumulation should be anticipated in the area. A FWD, AWD, or 4WD vehicle is best for these conditions - as driveways and roadways may have some snow cover.

We encourage all of our guests to purchase travel insurance. FALLS TRAIL SYSTEM UPDATE: As of 4/1/25, the Falls Trail system is now fully open for the summer season with no restrictions. Please make sure you wear proper footwear for the rugged terrain (hiking boots, not flip flops or sneakers), bring plenty of water, know and do not exceed your physical ability level, and plan your route so you end up back where you parked.

We have stayed in the cabin for the last few years and our family always has a positive experience. The cabin us super clean and cozy. Our family always enjoys smores by the fire and Christmas movies by the fire afte a long and beautiful hike at Rickett’s GlenMy only feedback I would have ur to maybe have one more small couch or chairs so everyone can sit in a comfortable chair when we watch movies by the fire.

This was my second trip to this cabin, this time with a group of girlfriends. I absolutely love this cabin! It’s always clean and stocked with all of the essential cooking supplies (including a convenient way to buy firewood!). The rooms are comfortable, the living room is cozy, nights around the fire pit and mornings on the deck with coffee are perfect! It’s very close to all of the Ricketts Glen hikes - which is why I came back with the group! Our host Jessica was easy to communicate with, and was very responsive through the booking process. Really love this property, and can’t wait to come back again!

Our girl’s waterfall/photography hiking trip was so enjoyable at the little cabin in the woods. We had everything we needed for a fabulous time.

Cabin was so cute. Beautifully decorated and stocked with all the essentials. Road noise was there as you are right off a busy highway. I enjoyed it. But some may not. Only downside is the upstairs was rather hot seems the air conditioning did not make it all the way up there. Owners were very attentive and responsive. I would go back again.

Father Son Weekend

Excellent location for hiking the Falls Trail

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is so comfortable with everything you need. The location is perfect for walking the Falls Trail and is close to the Ricketts Glen Hotel which we ate at and were very pleased.

Snowy weekend get away

Perfect Getaway!

This property is exactly what we were looking for. Extremely close to Ricketts Glen State Park trails. The Cabin is Clean, Cozy and Comfortable with plenty of space for a family. The hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful. We look forward to booking this cabin again in the Future!

Cozy cabin getaway

Our family just returned home from a little getaway. This cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. The gas fireplace kept us warm and the hosts supplied a nice surprise of gourmet cocoa bombs and milk. We had snow on the ground and enjoyed visiting the town of Benton. Wonderful stay!!

I (Jess) grew up right down the road from Ricketts Glen State Park - working at Lake Jean as a lifeguard through high school and college. I did not realize how lucky I was living so close to this little gem in PA! Once I moved away for work - I missed the area, the quiet, and the people. Once we bought a cabin to spend the weekends, we wanted to share it with others when we were not using it. We love to share the local area and great little places tucked away in Northeast PA!
