Soft, warm lighting creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for evenings spent recounting the day's escapades.
After purchasing the property in 2010, the entire inside of the cabin was refurbished down to the studs with wood from our sawmill including tongue and groove, log siding and adirondeck siding! Master bedroom w/ queen bed...Great Room/Living Room Queen Sleeper Sofa, futon, couch. Spacious living area. TV with DVD player. No need to 'rough it' with a fully equipped kitchen. Cuisinart cookware / dinnerware, and appliances. Flat top range. Butcher Block bar/island. All linens provided. Outdoor pavilion w/ gas grill; Picnic table, Adirondack furniture. "Have been coming to the cabin for at least 5 yrs. Always come back because of ease, comfort and recreational needs. Hosts are more than accommodating and are now considered friends. At times they have gone above and beyond to help us out of a bind. If you are looking for a rustic comfortable rural getaway this is for you"

About the host
Hosted by Brian and Stephanie

Brian O'Keefe owns Mooretown Sawmill and Mooretown Timbers and Beams, LLC as well as several rental properties in the local mountain area. Born and raised in Mooretown, Brian had a dream of carving out the land and creating a successful sawmill.
His dream became a reality in 1987. Mooretown Mill is located in the beautiful mountains of Northeast Pa. near the unforgettable Rickett's Glen State Park. Here at Mooretown, we use local timber to produce a quality product. In 2015, we started our timber frame company.
That same product and craftsmanship can be found in this cozy cabin and in all of Brian's rental properties producing a beautiful rustic feel. He takes great pride in the quality of his work and enjoys sharing that with others.
All of our renters will tell you that we will go out of our way to ensure your stay is unforgettable.
In his spare time (if any) he enjoys working on his next project (an event venue at Palace Park), jaunts on his KTM motorcycle, and is an active member in many organizations dealing with educating the youth of PA in the logging industry; his passion and joy.
