Super place to stay. Quiet and beautiful. You witness the daily routines of ducks, loons and the eagle that lives very nearby. Far enough away from the hustle (if you can call it that) but a beautiful drive to anywhere you choose to go.
Me and my family have been renting for almost a decade and will continue to.

Boyd camp on Mooselookmeguntic Lake
Lovely cabin on the shores of Mooselookmeguntic Lake. A very private lot, spacious cabin with a lovely deck. The kitchen was outfitted with all you need. The dock fitted our 19' boat well. The dock was aligned so that you could dock on the leeward side and avoid a pounding from the lake. Nice little beach area for kids and dogs.
There is plenty of games, books, and movies for those rainy days. The bathrooms are both nice. I would definitely rent this property again.
Everything was great and we will most likely return. I was disappointed the dock had been removed we were very much looking forward to sitting out there. The fire place flue had an issue so we had to use the wood stove, I had envisioned lounging in front of that huge fire. Also there quite a few cobwebs around. We also found a pill of some sort on the big bathroom floor which we discarded.

Our 23rd amazing week at The Boyd Camp!
We've been coming to the Boyd Camp for the past 23 years. It is the perfect place to relax and reconnect. It is such a peaceful, quiet location with amazing views and sunsets. The camp is just what we want in a camp...rustic but, comfortable with no Wifi. Our now post-college sons love reliving the memories of watching DVDS and VHS tapes and playing favorite games. The ping pong table, the gorgeous sunny deck, the fabulous lakeside firepit, and great dock round out some of our other favorite amenities. We'd highly recommend you book a week at this place and unplug and unwind.

Absolutely amazing location. Overall we really had a great time. Rustic???? Is a term used to loosely these days. FYI it's not rustic if it needs to be replaced because it's not functional. There really is not super comfortable place to sit or eat except the Adirondack chairs by the fire or on the deck. We fished on our boat most days so that was good. If you have elders with you this is not the place for you. 4300 dollars is a lot of money for non functional rustic. The neighbor with the Trump Country Flag blowing loud and proud down by the water was disappointing but out of our control. Leave that garbage at home. The dock was great along with the swimming area views and loons. Great fire pit by the water. Lots of games and puzzles. A little updating and this place could be epic.
The property is a classic cabin nestled in the woods in a remote location on Lake Mooselookmeguntick with beautiful views of the water and surrounding mountains. There is a long ~20min dirt road leading to the property from Oguossac, and it is the last house on the road before a huge public wilderness. Our family enjoyed bonfires by the water, swimming and fishing (catching yellow perch and brown trout right from the dock). We came with dogs, and felt very comfortable with them in the house. Snuggling with them all around the house and letting them run free on the grounds was a real highlight. The cabin is ideal for family relaxation with many old board games, books, ping ping table and DVDs, although the TV did not work consistently. The house has no internet, which we actually found appealing at first (after telling our old kids to leave their phones at home), but we did not expect that the cell phone coverage in the area was almost non-existent. So the house is really "off grid". This was mainly inconvenient for planning activities and learning about the area, and maintain some contact with the outside world. However, we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic old-fashioned Maine camp experience with their family and pets.

We couldn't have found a more peaceful home for our vacation. The location of this property, the expansive private waterfront and well appointed home left us wanting for nothing except for more time here! We did some great off the grid hiking, painting and reading along the waterfront and cooked up great meals on the charcoal grill. If you're a little on the fence about not having WiFi, don't let that deter you. It will be the best thing you ever did because your phone will just be a camera and you'll become immersed in nature.

Boyd Camp
This camp is so set up for families or multi-families. There is ample room on the deck and yard to move around, cook, and have camp fires. Fishing is great both from the dock and boat. And when the weather does not permit outside activities the camp is fully equipped with games, puzzles, videos and books. The kitchen does not lack for anything that we could find. The camp is huge and spread out to allow for privacy as well as gathering time. We hope to be back many more times.
