Wonderful coastal views of a serene and well appointed Blue lobster cottage ,with all the amenities one could think of . Captures views of eagles soaring and gulls ,with lobster boats on their daily trips of livelihood in the harbor.Quaint coves and bluffs with the Pine State Ora around you . The night sky also entertains with a Star studded experience.
Great times sitting on the porch and dock soaking up the sun, drinking coffee and having beers. Nice sized bedrooms and well stocked house with spices, games etc. Small TV but the views are what you are here for. The porch is the sweet spot. Noisy during day due to cars going by but bring a speaker to listen to tunes.
Blue Lobster is a great place for a get away! The views of the water are amazing . The home is so quintessentially Maine. It is well furnished and the beds and lines were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with good appliances as well as multiple coffee makes. We were so lucky to be staying during the full blue moon! Yes there was a bit of traffic noise but it really stopped in the early evening. I would recommend Blue lobster for boating and birding enthusiasts.
The property was beautiful, charming and exceptionally comfortable. The view was amazing. Everything was as stated in the listing very responsive host.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Please join us again.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Lobster! We were in town visiting our student at Bowdoin and found this property to be a lovely vacation spot a reasonable distance from campus. The house sits on a beautiful spot on the water and had everything we needed for our stay. We will return!
Great little house very clean and as described. Beautiful view out the back constantly changing with the tide. Only slightly negative to the property is the road noise and proximity to the road. Would definitely recommend.
Peaceful, gorgeous spot. Shorebirds, hawks and eagles were a delightful bonus. House was just what we wanted with everything we needed. What a great place to spend some days in Maine on the bay! We hope to be able to return next spring. Thank you!

Hi Sarah, We are so glad Blue Lobster was just what you were looking for. We would love to have you come again!
House was perfect for our family of 3 (11 yr old son). Pretty close to several places to eat and small towns. We did some fishing off the dock, my son caught a good size striper on his second cast. Overall, great trip!

It's wonderful to hear of your son's success, nicely done! We are glad you had an overall great trip to Blue Lobster!
The Blue Lobster is a real find. The description of the property is exactly as advertised. It has such a great view from the back deck, bedrooms, kitchen, and living space. We appreciated the kayak recommendation from the owner - we enjoyed such a relaxing time while visiting friends in Harpswell. Can’t wait to return.
Check in was easy. Everything was as described and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is very nice right on an inlet with the deck overlooking it. One evening, as we sat on the deck, we saw a seal snacking on a fish it caught. Check-out instructions were clear. The host was very helpful and responsive to our questions.
Great location! Easy access to the remote islands but also close enough to Brunswick and highway. The house was perfect for my husband and I. The owners have the kitchen well stocked and we were able to cook and eat our own lobsters at home so we can enjoy the magnificent view. Both owners were very helpful with any questions we had

What a great property at an unbelievable location. House was immaculate and well stocked, had everything we needed. Communication with the manager was prompt and complete. The view from the deck was stunning ... and the private dock made for some great kayaking adventures. Great place to make great memories.

Kenneth,
We are so glad we met your expectations and you found everything you needed for a great adventure. We hope you will return in the future.
After enjoying Blue Lobster over Labor Day this past summer we planned a trip to Maine for December to once again visit family in the area and spend some time shopping and taking in the sights. Blue Lobster is in a great location enabling us to shop in Freeport (we enjoyed Sparkle Weekend!), is a short drive to Boothbay (loved Gardens Aglow at the Botanical Gardens), and great restaurants we visited in Bath, Bailey Island and Brunswick and many other spots. The home is well equipped, very clean and the view is just as amazing in winter as it was in summer. Highly recommend!

Susan, We are so glad you enjoyed your return trip to Blue Lobster. I agree, there are so many fun things to do this time of year, we enjoyed Gardens Aglow as well. We hope to see you again!
Super clean and comfortable. Both bedrooms have great water views. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and a terrific front deck and dock. Bring your binoculars for spotting the many birds and boats out front on the water. We really enjoyed our time here at this property and the property manager (David) was great to work with. One note of caution is that the house is quite close to the road, which can get busy at times, so the noise from vehicles passing by was our only issue. The good news is that it gets quiet again shortly after sunset so very peaceful at night.
From the moment we entered the property we were smiling and happy. What a view! And the decor was fresh and comfortable. I’m a cook and I appreciated the efficient kitchen that had every utensil and pot or skillet I needed. The location is perfect for our needs and allowed easy access to family in the area as well as favorite attractions like LL Bean, Bath, Bailey Island, Boothbay and Pemaquid. Communication with our host was quick and easy. Overall just a perfect spot for me and my husband. Cannot wait to return to Blue Lobster!

An Unforgettable Stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage: Stunning Views, Seafood Delights, and Local Charm
We had a wonderful week-long stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage in late September. The cottage is perched on a cliff overlooking an inlet, offering breathtaking views. We enjoyed sipping coffee and having breakfast while watching the birds and boats pass by. The house was immaculate with comfortable beds and lovely linens. The bedroom offered spectacular views.
We particularly enjoyed the seafood in the area, especially the fresh oysters and fish at the Gurnet Trading Company. We also discovered the Wild Oats Bakery & Café, which is a must-visit for delicious soups and bread. On Saturdays, the local farmers market featured amazing artisans, making it difficult for us to choose what to buy.
Our stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage was fantastic, and we're already looking forward to returning!

We are so glad you had a great visit here at Blue Lobster. You are right, the farmers market has so many choices, everything is amazing. Wild Oats has one of my very favorite sandwiches. So much to choose from for GF/DF people like myself, so glad you discovered it. We look forward to your return and thank you for the kind words.
The cottage was lovely but the power went out twice and we ended up leaving early. It was no fault of the property owner or manager, but it definitely put a damper on our stay sadly.
Being from Maine, we are aware that this is an issue in many coastal areas so perhaps automatic generators could be installed? And renters should be warned to have water and flashlights on hand?

We are very sorry this happened. Yes, a back up system is important for anyone on the coast, weather can be unpredictable. Thank you for your suggestions, we are moving forward with these items.
The Blue Lobster was a very cute and well appointed rental that was very clean and had lovely views. The exterior of the home is classic Maine and the surrounding grounds were well tended. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was conducive to cooking in.The location is central to getting around the area easily; plenty of restaurants and stores are a short drive away. That said, there were a couple of issues: the location map on VRBO is incorrect. I know Harpswell pretty well and the home location is actually south of what is shown, and it's situated on Hyw 24. Though other renters mentioned hearing traffic noise, I did not realize how close it was to the highway due to the map. It was quite loud when the house was opened up, especially over labor day weekend. It did quiet down a bit during the week, and moreso in the evenings. When the house was closed it was not as noticeable. The other issue was that the back door still doesn't lock, as mentioned in other reviews. Overall, though, the pros very much outwieghed the cons and we enjoyed our stay and recommend this rental.
