Our stay was great, and communication was great! For our large family of 30 it fit us all great! It was kind of hard to tell the layout of all the bedrooms from the pictures
We had a group of 27 family members visit for a family reunion and this cabin was perfect! It’s spacious and beautifully decorated, close to everything and the views are unbeatable! The home was clean and well stocked with plenty of linens, dishes, and every appliance you could think of! The host responded quickly and communicated effectively before, during, and after our stay. We couldn’t be happier and would definitely stay here again and refer others! Great place to stay!
We loved this place but there is a weird 3-bedroom combo on the upper floor that works for family members but not friends as you have to walk through one room to reach the next. Great for one family with kids, though.
Review:We rented the Lochwood Monster for what ended up being nine nights at the end of July, hosting six families and 26 people in total, and the house handled our group beautifully. Our younger grandkids spent hours in the arcade room and the game room off the garage. The community center a short walk down the street was a hit almost every day — the kids would come back from the beach, rinse off, and head straight to the pool, and while everyone was there some of the adults enjoyed the pool table and foosball in the game room. The HOA finished installing the tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts at the community center the day before we left, which is a great addition — one of our sons plays competitive tennis and would have loved a game or two if the courts had been ready earlier in the week.We also biked over to Heritage Park the afternoon we arrived, since the Garden City fire department was hosting a burgers-and-hot-dogs event for the community, and the kids stayed to enjoy the playground — the zip line was a particular favorite — and to try their luck at the fishing pond. We caught exactly one fish among us, but the kids didn't seem to mind. The one thing I wished we'd had before we arrived was a floor plan. The photos on the listing are terrific, but they don't tell you how the rooms connect to each other, and for a group of our size that mattered when we were sorting out bedroom assignments before the trip. Since I think future guests would appreciate a floo
This home is beautiful, clean, well stocked and well furnished. It is close to garden city-we walked to Mikes market twice and it was a very quick short walk-but it is still in an area that is quiet and private. The view is beautiful from the two decks and the hot tub on the backside is very private and peaceful-my husband saw a doe the evening we used the grill-which is also a very nice Weber grill. The host was very accessible through texting-probably the most communicative and responsive rental company we’ve ever booked with. We had a wonderful time and it is a wonderful home-just be aware it is two flights up to the main floor-entrance through the garage- and you will need to bring your own pool towels. We loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat.
Our extended family had a great time at the property. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, chess table, decks, open area where we could all gather, etc. Jake was an excellent host. Always checking to see if things were going well or if we needed anything. It was a good experience.
