Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Would normally overlook the musty mildew smell , filthy outside furniture, towel rack falling off the wall and staircase and outside lights not working. What prompts this review is the roaring fire pictured in a fire place that the house book says is not functional and purely for display. “Dining room chairs “ are for children.

Response from VrboOwner on 4 September 2026
Hi Paul, we’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We take cleanliness and maintenance concerns seriously and would have welcomed the opportunity to address these during your visit. We reached out throughout your stay but received no reports of any issues, so we only learned of these concerns through your review.
For clarity, our listing states before booking that the fireplace is decorative and not available for use. The outdoor lights are operational and controlled by a switch beside the balcony, which we would have been happy to help you locate.
We want every guest to feel comfortable and cared for in our home. We’re available throughout each stay to answer questions and help resolve concerns, and we always welcome the opportunity to make things right!
