July 4 Weekend

Overall my family and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is a little bit older but it did its job. After a long day at the river, it was a cozy place to come back to. The kids loved the jacuzzi, it was nice and clean. There are a few things that need to be fixed around the property. We did have to contact the host at one point because the gas tank to the grill ran out and she was very quick to respond and send somebody (in the middle of a thunderstorm)!!

This was a perfect size place for our family Christmas.

We enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our family Christmas. However, the only complaint I had was on the last morning that I got up to fix breakfast. I had to kill a cockroach in the kitchen that came out of the cabinet where the pans were at. I was pretty grossed out after that and we just packed up and went into town to eat. I meant to call and let someone know the place should probably be sprayed. Oh and I believe I left my cheese board there.

Celebrate the big 16th birthday!

The girls loved the loft with the 8 twin beds! They wanted to get in the hottub that evening but the water was green. I emailed the owners or property manager asking if there were chemicals and the response was "There should be some under the kitchen sink." So we searched and searched until we found a small tupperwear with a label on it saying hot tub. We had to put in about 3 scoops until the water was clear. So the girls did not get in until the 2nd night. And it just so happen on our stay our water stopped working twice. The maintenace guy that was on call was very nice and was able to replace the part that broke. But having 8 girls (parents and 2 siblings) trying to take showers after a day of fabulous hiking was out of the question! The back porch is very relaxing and has a nice view. Bring your own pots and pans there's are very old and need to be replaced.

Great trip

It was a great stay overall. Few things that could be better: they have a coffee pot and coffee- but no sugar/creamer. The road going to the cabin is full of potholes and so dusty/ the hot tub is super old and doesn’t work correctly.

Our trip was cut short

We planned this trip with months in advance and we were super excited to spend Labor Day weekend here. Upon arriving everything seemed good, it wasn’t until we were settled in our rooms and in bed when we realized there were bed bugs. As soon as we fell asleep we were woken up by bites , we inspected all of the beds and they were bull of bed bugs. We immediately contacted the owners and they were not able to accommodate or move is to a different cabin as they were all occupied. They gave us the option of renting a hotel as they were the only ones with availability. We decided to go home since we all for bit and were extremely itchy. Needless to say our trip was ruined.

Bed bug infestation

First night we got there we discovered there was a bed bug infestation upstairs. 2 people in our party got bitten, I called the contact number for the property and spoke with the emergency maintenance man and he said he was going to see what he could do. No apology or nothing. I called back 20 mins still no resolution. I finally got an email at 3:50am that we were being moved to another cabin, we had to repack all of our stuff, a party of 12. We weren't fully settled at the new cabin till 7am which caused us to lose half of a day of our activities for that day because we hadn't slept all night. The fact that they never apologized nor offered to reimburse us for that first night is why we will never stay with this company again.

Directions to cabin were not accurate at all! Took us a lot of time to find it. There is not key Lock like the instructions from the owner states. There’s just a key pad and I couldn’t get it to lock when we left. Washer and dryer door was locked so we were not able to use them. There was not bottle of wine and the place was dusty and could use a good cleaning. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for! This was half the price as most cabins and it worked good enough for our family weekend.

I like only the property itself but the management is very poor. There are so many things mentioned in the listing which are not true. I am made some points which I experienced during my stay in this property. 1. It is very hard and confusing to access the property. The direction given in the email is misleading. We spent almost two hours to find the property. Even if you arrive near by location it will be hard to find the property. They have not mentioned Bentwater Dr. Luckily we found the Ranger Jennie who helped us to find the property. 2. Lock Box is not where they keep the key, actually there is just pin code needed to open the door. I spent 20 mins trying to open the lockbox as per their direction. Somehow, my daughter pressed the pin in the front door lock and it opened. I even called them at that time but no one picked up the phone. 3. When I entered, the floor was not clean, and backyard patio is full of dust and dirt. 4. Jacuzzi was not clean, yellowish in color. Jacuzzi did not work for the first day. 5. Chairs around the fire pit were broken due to which one of our member fell down on his back. 6. No toaster 7. No wine bottle 8. Bath Shower Handle broked due to which we could only use master bed shower. 9. No tongs and other accessories in the barbeque. 10. I am not sure about the washer but the dry is only show piece. Does not dry at all. Those were my true experience. It could have been much better if the management have done their job timely.

It was okay. We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn't under the covered porch and the TV in the living room was so small. We also were disappointed that there wasn't any pancake mix (as advertised) or a can opener in the cabin. Chase came and helped us light the fireplace and he was very helpful.

Very nice stay.

The stay was nice. The cabin was great. The only gripe I have was the wine bottle was not available, the dryer didnt work and the towels that were left were wet. Last I could not get the fireplace to work. But my family loved it.

Perfect Escape

This property is absolutely beautiful. I rented it for a little family vacation. There were 9 of us and the cabin was very spacious so we were never crowded. We stayed 4 nights and didn't have any issues. It was so peaceful. Property management sent directions to get to property a few days before our arrival They were confusing at first but we followed them EXACTLY and didn't have any problem finding cabin. GPS does not work due to no connectivity. I will definitely rent again. We absolutely loved it!!

Needed to be cleaned, saw cockroaches in cabinet by fridge. So afraid I would bring them home.

Promised wine, corn hole game, etc—-got none. The stove hadn’t even been washed off, the oven inside was absolutely gross!! Looked under bed, it was all fuzzy with dirt!! Hot tub was old & needed to be replaced! Lid didn’t even fit. Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful location, terrible directions. Cabin was not clean at all, inside or outside. Loud motor sound under bedrooms kept us awake. Shower drain wasn’t draining but maintenance fixed that after a call. No pancake mix or bottle of wine as the online listing stated. We made the best of being together but would not advise anyone to stay here and we will certainly never be back.

Loved This Cabin!

I can’t say enough about this cabin and how much we loved it. It was exactly what we expected and more. Right away, we noticed how clean it was! The tall ceilings and huge windows are what sold us. I do have a few tips for future renters: The guest bathtub doesn’t drain very well. It’s slow, so just expect that. To turn on the shower in the guest bathroom, pull down the tub spout and twist. It took us a long time to figure it out. The loft ceiling fan speed can be changed; there’s a slider on the wall switch to do that. Use the directions VRBO emails you! They will work if you follow them. Do not try and use GPS to find the cabin. It won’t work. Cell service at the cabin is spotty, but the WiFi works great. 5 of us plus a laptop and a fire stick, no issues. Lastly, it’s hard to see from the photos but there is a cabin next door. Its quite visible from the hot tub. Fortunately it was empty during our stay. We will 100% be back, this was a perfect cabin for our family and a much needed getaway after being home for the last 6 months. So many wonderful memories were made here. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
