The Maine Glades: a destination home in every sense, this spacious 5 bedroom, 4 bath home in Newry enjoys unforgettable sunset views over the slopes of Sunday River Ski Resort. With waterfalls and tranquil streams within walking distance, gorgeous ski runs and hiking trails within a short and scenic drive, an outdoor saltwater hot tub, a fire pit, an indoor sauna, and a pool table, this home will ensure that you relax, reconnect with loved ones, and return to nature in the purest of Maine settings. There's no end to the year-round activities awaiting in the area – Sunday River Resort only 10 miles southwest, snowmobile trails, golfing, and guided excursions for canoeing, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and dog-sledding. This home is uniquely positioned for relaxation after activities too, offering its very own sauna, a seven-person Hot Springs hot tub, a billiard room with a dartboard, and an expansive deck that spans the length of the house with majestic sunset views of the mountains. Leaf peepers will love the stunning splashes of color from the deck in autumn! The Great Room is a beautifully lit space, with windows that reach up toward the ceiling, glass doors that lead outside to the deck, and a wood-burning stove/fireplace to toast your toes as you watch Netflix or Direct TV (there are four smart TVs in total). The adjacent dining room has ample space to enjoy family meals and nightly board games. Added perks include a crib/pack-n-play and outdoor games like corn hole, bocce ball, and a variety of indoor/board games. In the kitchen, you'll find stainless steel appliances, a center prep island, and plentiful space to store your groceries and favorite provisions. A gas grill is also on hand to assist with summertime barbecues. When you want to gather for meals, the dining table can extend to accommodate large groups with ease. Cap your days with stories and s'mores around the fire pit before retiring to one of the five bedrooms. There are two primary suites – one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The other three bedrooms are split between the first floor, the second floor, and the daylight basement level. Air-conditioning is provided on the main and upper levels (the basement remains cool in the warmer months). The loft provides two daybeds as well. THINGS TO KNOW Firewood is provided for the wood stove and fire pit. This home has a full-house generator. The WiFi is provided via Starlink satellite. No pets are allowed at this vacation rental. 4WD/traction may be required in winter. There is free parking available for up to 4 vehicles (please park the 4th in the garage)... A 5th car can be parked at the gatehouse, if needed. We use Ring Doorbell for security purposes. Fireworks are not permitted on the property. You must be 25 years or older to rent this location. NOTE: This home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in the local Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours.
