We loved our stay in this gem nestled in Evanston’s Lakeshore District. We stayed in the three-bedroom unit on the top floor—with ample space to spread out and relax, take walks, and head down to the beach. Janet was super-responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Good location. Period. The space is in the top level of the house, so be ready to climb 3 levels of stairs every time and learn a very long list of rules and requirements from the host.Almost 10 days after we left, the host contacted us trying to charge us an extra cleaning fee (already charged the regular cleaning fee) claiming that she needed more time than “usual” to clean the place, even though we left everything as we found it and followed to the letter the long list of requirements included on the manual. We don’t know if the host had more guests during that time, but it felt like a money grab intent. We have been guests in many locations and put special attention in leaving things as we found it, cleaning all the utensils, zero garbage, sweeping, etc. It was quite a surprise that the host tried squeezing us more money via an extra cleaning fee.If you are thinking of having a relaxing time, look for another option or a hotel. It’s not worth the trouble.
A very beautiful property in a lovely part of Evanston. Close to the beach and minutes from downtown. Communication with the host was easy and very helpful.
