House was exactly what we were looking for on our 2 night stay in the Lake Placid region. Easy to get to Lake Placid and any other destinations in the area. Beautiful lake view and scenery. Comfy and cozy.
Such a beautiful property with views across the frozen Lake Saranac. Exactly what we were looking for and found everything clean and in great working order. Hope to be back.
The picturesque private road leads to a beautiful lodge positioned on an point in Lake Oseetah. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures here and Shannon, the host is tremendous and thinks of everything. She even surprised us with a decorated Christmas tree and holiday decorations. It was the prefect location for as the kids kept saying, the "most relaxing Christmas ever!" We will be back as it is super private but close to everything!
We spent one of the most relaxing weeks here. We had a private dock right on the lake. There were kayaks and a canoe. Plus, we were very near access to the Adirondack Rail Trail. When we arrived, the house was spotless and access could not have been easier. The host checked in with us a couple of times to see if we had any questions or if there was anything we needed. I would definitely come back here.
At the price point, we expected a more well equipped kitchen. I bought a set of bowls at Marshalls (!) for mixing pancake batter, etc. The knives were frankly terrible. However, this did not dampen our stay. The location was superb and the swimming excellent. I wish the canoe had been closer to the dock as one grandma I could not haul down to the water without worrying about damage. One more item that might be noted is the principal bedroom bed being on an elevated platform. It did not deter us however it could be a liability to anyone with balance or night vision issues. Thanks so much and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bear Claw is on an exquisite site, with views of the High Peaks and a beautiful lake that's great for kayaking, swimming, and listening to the loons at night. The house was private, comfortable, well furnished and cozy for four adults and a baby. Karen, the caretaker, is incredible--responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to her guests' comfort. Both Lake Placid and Saranac Lake are fun, interesting little towns. Though our weather wasn't great, we really enjoyed our stay.
