I’ve stayed at this place several times over the years. Last time was several years ago. My interaction with the host was great. No problems. I’m disappointed with mystic dunes. The main reason we stayed was because of the activities. We went to a few and paid to paint wine glasses, and my kids did the slime activity. The people running the event didn’t care much about it, there wasn’t a wide selection of paint, and we had to share the ten bottles with another family. The kids said they were only allowed one drop of food coloring for the slime. These are definitely small grievances, but I was most disappointed when I text the front desk ( cool new thing I did like) and explained I was traveling with 4 children by myself, and could really use a late checkout which was denied. We’re not allowed to check in until 4 pm but we can’t check out past ten am? Crazy. The room was clean and tidy. My interaction with the host is 5 stars. My experience with the resort? 3 stars. I won’t be back. It’s changed a lot since last time I was here.
