About this property

Rocking R Country Retreat

Located just outside of Solvang, California, this updated ranch style home is nestled on 10 quiet and wooded acres where you'll feel like you're a hundred miles from civilization.

Our home is situated in the country with spacious lawn areas, a comfortable open and spacious floor plan with open-beamed ceilings, large stone-topped island in the kitchen and French doors opening onto multiple patios for relaxing, dining and entertaining.

With 3 bedrooms (King, Queen & two twin beds) and two and one half bathrooms, this vacation rental includes a fully equipped kitchen located on one end of the great room, three wood-burning fireplaces, large living room with formal dining area, outdoor barbeque, private spa and two large flat-screen televisions.

Our home is about a mile and a half from Solvang (a twenty minute walk). Solvang hosts many fine restaurants, lovely shops and outstanding activities to enchant young and old alike. Solvang has more than a dozen wine tasting rooms and there are 80 wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley. Our home is just down the road from Rusack Vineyards. As for restaurants and shopping, our home is a short drive (or walk) to Solvang, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and Buellton, offering a wide variety of five-star choices!

If bicycling is of interest to you, our home is a great jumping-off point for many great cycling routes. In fact, the Amgen Tour of California individual time trial has rolled by the front of our home on several occasions.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
On the morning of your checkout: Please leave used beds un-made so that the cleaning crew will know which linens to clean / change.
Kindly place all used towels and washcloths in a pile on the floor of the Laundry Room. Please load and start the dishwasher. Please remove all trash and recyclables to the outside trash cans.
Be sure to close and lock all of the doors and windows. If the AC / Heat was adjusted, please press small SYSTEM box on the thermostat.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Perfect Get Away

I honestly can't say enough good things about this property. It was a perfect trip for us. The house is absolutely gorgeous, clean, cozy, quiet, peaceful, located minutes from everything but you feel like you’re in a remote area. We enjoyed playing Bocci Ball, relaxing, playing cards outside on the tranquil patio and walking into town. We hope to come back again!
