About this property

Osceola Mill is a B&B inn located in the Shenandoah Valley 20 minutes from Lexington and Staunton.

Osceola Mill is a bed & breakfast inn located in the Shenandoah Valley 20 minutes from the historic towns of Lexington and Staunton. We have 4 Suites in the Mill house and a private cabin. The historic site was once a grist mill built in 1840 on 6 acres bordered by Marl Creek and the South River. This rustic gem is hidden away in Vesuvius, Virgina and provides a quiet rural get away with outdoor activities in the area and historic and cultural activities. Breakfast is included with your stay.

Amenities - Everything You Need for the Perfect American Getaway

We believe comfort is king. Yeah, our Mill house is 176 years old, full of history, and has more character than a classic road trip diner-but that doesn't mean we're willing to give up modern comforts. We live here, so we make sure it's cozy, functional, and full of little details that make your stay feel like home (but better).
Osceola Mill sits in the heart of Vesuvius, VA-a tiny town where time slows down, neighbors wave, and the only rush is getting to the breakfast table before the cinnamon rolls disappear. Staying here means stepping into a traditional American getaway-where you swap screen time for stargazing, trade traffic noise for the sound of a creek, and actually unplug for a bit (don't worry, we've got WiFi if you start to twitch).

What's Included?

🍪 Complimentary sweets & homemade cookies-because what's an American getaway without snacks?
📡 Complimentary Starlink WiFi-fast enough to stream, but slow enough to remind you to go outside.
📶 Verizon Network Extender-because small-town cell service can be...quaint.
❄️ Central AC & heating-on the main floor, so you won't freeze in winter or melt in summer.
🪑 Large porch for porch-sitting, sipping drinks, and pretending you live here full-time.
🏕 Open field for family play, with classic games-cornhole, bocce, and all the backyard nostalgia.
🔥 Outdoor fireplaces & seating along Marl Creek-perfect for telling ghost stories and making s'mores.
🌊 South River access-because nothing says "American getaway" like water nearby.
🔌 Docking stations for devices-just in case you must check your phone.
☕ Complimentary Nespresso coffee, tea, and water-caffeine is a necessity, not a luxury.
🧊 Mini refrigerator-for leftovers, beer, or your secret snack stash.
💨 Hair dryer-so you don't have to bring one.
🛏 Fresh linens & towels-because clean sheets just hit different on vacation.
🚿 Gilchrist & Soames shower gel, shampoo, & conditioner-fancy, but not too fancy.
🛌 King-size beds-for sprawling out like royalty.
🛋 Sleeper sofas-in the McCormick Cabin & Nettie Suite, so no one has to sleep on the floor.
🚻 Private baths-because sharing a bathroom with strangers is not part of the getaway dream.
🔥 Electric fireplace heaters-for cozy vibes in every season.
💨 Ceiling fans & Mitsubishi mini-split AC & heating-because we believe in temperature control.

Osceola Mill isn't just a place to sleep-it's a place to slow down, soak up history, and live out the classic American getaway experience. So grab a rocking chair, pour a drink, and let the world wait.

We Look Forward to Visiting Again

We had a very pleasant stay. Host graciously made muffins and pastries and had fresh fruit out for us. Room had refrigerator with bottled water, and flavored seltzer water, as well as an Keurig and a Nespresso. Both had a variety of pis choices. Room and bathroom was very spacious. Everything was neat and clean and smelled wonderful. W

Quick getaway, gem of a discovery

Linda is creating a true gem in her property and experiences for guest stays. We were the only couple staying the night we were there and treated to a beautiful and delicious breakfast spread in the morning. She gave us space but was also very personable and delightful to talk with. I wish we had more time to spend there and would love to go back as the property and guest experiences continue to evolve!

Thanksgiving Getaway

My husband and I decided to take a short road trip to Natural Bridge for Thanksgiving, and boy there were no regrets! Linda and her family are absolutely lovely and personable. This cabin is a 1800 flour mill which was converted into a B&B. The architecture was preserved and the wood beans and accents are beautiful. Linda and her husband have done a great job preserving the history of this mill. Breakfast every morning was so delicious. I had the best homemade cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had in my life! Since we arrived for Thanksgiving, Linda also cooked thanksgiving dinner that was incredible. We gathered at the dinner table, laughed, talked and shared stories with Linda, her family and the other guests, whom were lovely as well. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and I hope to return soon! Many blessings to you and your establishment! Letty and Darius.
