Tom is a fantastic host! Super easy to communicate with, very committed to ensuring all was in good order for the entire stay. Kayaks were a great bonus, saw many loons and eagles while out. Our family loved the space, it was so comfortable and sitting by the fire pit at night was awesome for star gazing. Great overall experience!

This is a beautiful property, well maintained, and clean, Location is great if you want to be on a lake. But for us the only downside is distance from town because we preferred to be closer to Grand Marais based on the activities we had planned. They did not have pokers for cooking over the outside fire pit, but I think they will be stocking that for the cabin after our stay :)

We had a five party group stay in Tom's Devil Track lake property.The property is located far enough from Grand Marais to be away from the crowds and lights there, but close enough for Grand Marais to be accessible. It also allowed us access to great hiking venues up the Gunflint Trail and also a great zipline adventure. We also took advantage of a nice nine hole golf course within a few minutes of the property. Finally, if you're into looking at the night sky, there is great viewing out the front of the home.The property was very clean and had all the amenities we were looking for, including a nice fire pit area with comfy adirondack chairs.Tom was very attentive to any questions I had prior to, during, and even after our stay.Other advantages included a separate lodge, not affiliated with the Devil Track lake property, which was within a hundred yards of the home and offered a nice menu.I would definitely stay again.

It is a beautiful home in a stunning location with a wonderful, helpful host. It has everything you could want for comfort, food preparation, and relaxation. It was frankly the best vacation rental experience we have had anywhere. We will definitely be back.

This cabin was in a great location for our family getaway. We enjoyed being close to Grand Marais for shopping, exploring, and some quick food options (including the grocery store). We also enjoyed being away from a lot of the tourist traffic that usually comes with any location along MN Hwy. 61 during the summer. This gave us a great launching point to do some of the hiking trails in the BWCAW, especially with the Eagle Mountain trailhead only being a 20 minute drive away. The lake looked excellent for fishing, but we didn't have time to get out on the lake this trip. The host was very open to communicating before and during our stay, which was appreciated.

Quick getaway

Great stay! This home was comfortable, spacious and clean. It had everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Loved shopping in Grand Marais. Sky Port Lodge has great food and a good time.

Tom was a fabulous host. He was very kind in allowing us to book another night on the front end, as a winter blizzard was approaching. The home was well equipped and super comfortable--and the perfect location for accessing the trails. And he even helped push my buddy's truck out of a snowdrift. We can't wait to come back!

Snowmobiling getaway.

This rental is perfect for a great sledding getaway. Jump on the lake and head north to the gunflint or go south to Lutsen. Perfect location. Excellent comfortable cabin.

We were going to be in the area and decided to add in some snowmobiling while here. This is a great place to stay right off the lake and trails. Walking distance to the lodge and restaurant. Tom was great to work with. We’ll be back.

Great lake home close to Grand Marais

As a family of 7, we enjoyed the well maintained home. Beds were comfortable and furniture was in good shape. Tom responded quickly to questions and advice while we were there. We enjoyed lake access and the kayaks available on property as well as the pontoon rental for a sunset cruise. I loved the mornings on the deck with the beautiful views. It was a wonderful stay!

Great location and property

Rented place to go snowmobiling and the property is located in a great location. Right on trail, restaurant and fuel on site and close to Grand Marias. House is very nice and has everything you need for a great getaway. Even though I didn't stay during the summer I'm confident it would be a great spot then as well with the lake and everything else the north shore has to offer. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond with the few questions we had. Will definitely be renting here again.

Perfect location to visit multiple areas

Very beautiful and comfortable place and setting. Near to Grand Marais but removed from the city. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Kitchen was well equipped. Host had recommendations that were helpful. We explored East and West from Grand Marias so it was a good location for us. We were all pleased and would stay again. Worth the 8 hour drive.

When we booked this rental we went in blind not knowing exactly the set up for snowmobiling and family trip, it was more than we could have expected. The location was beyond perfect for our needs. The home was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The host is fantastic with any questions and answers. The host is very helpful and responds in no time at all to help with accommodating any questions or needs we had. Pet friendly so we were able to bring the entire gang. We would definitely recommend this rental and will likely return for more good times!!! Huge thank you to the hosts!!!!! Great memories and you cant beat the scenery!

The pictures don’t do this home justice! So quiet and cozy, all the furniture was arranged perfectly for the layout of the house. We enjoyed long walks down the quiet road with plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Tom communicated with us every step of the way and gave plenty of recommendations of things to do. We have every intention of coming back the next time we need some peace and quiet to reset

Perfect!

Host and house were equally great! We were a party of 8 with a last minute booking and Tom went above and beyond to accommodate us! The house is clean and well equipped with everything you need. The little restaurant nearby was warm and welcoming! If you are looking for a laid back, beautiful home with great views and nice quiet location, yet close enough to do all your sightseeing, look no further! We booked a flight over the area at the nearby airport (3 mins away), WHAT A TREAT! We will be back!!

Stayed three nights in early February on a group snowmobile trip. Great house. Very clean. Kitchen has everything you need. Location is ideal. Steps away from Sky-port Lodge. Endless space to park trucks and large trailers across the street at the old airport. Perfect location. The trail is on the lake and you can go any direction from this house. Tom is great. Very responsive and helpful with any questions you have. Will stay here again when I get back to this area.

Lake Vibes + Hospitality = Perfect Escape

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on Devil Track! From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and perfectly set up for a relaxing family getaway. The house was spotless, well-stocked with everything we needed, and the deck quickly became our favorite hangout, especially with that amazing breeze coming off the lake. Tom was an incredible host. Very responsive, helpful, thoughtful, and truly top-notch. It’s clear he takes great pride in making sure guests feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll absolutely be back! Thank you again, Tom!
