Property was great! Well-stocked with everything we needed and perfect for our group. The kids loved the loft and all the games. The lake was beautiful and peaceful but close enough to Grand Marais for easy trips to town. Very close to a lot of hiking trails with breathtaking lake views as well! A fantastic stay!

Stayed at this cabin for 6 nights with my family. Communication with the property manager was great. She sent me all the information about checking into the cabin 3 days prior to arrival. They answered any questions that we had before getting there. Cabin was very clean, stocked with basic essentials, in a very quite location and was as described in the listing. We caught lots of smallmouth bass and walleye while staying there. The outside is just as nice as the cabin itself. Someone really does take good care of the lawn and all the flower beds. Would highly recommend!!

House was nice and property beautiful. The last two miles of the road are horrible. We were told it was gravel and might be bumpy. That was grossly understated. We got a flat tire from a stone the first night and could never go over 4-8 mpr. If you were driving a truck or big SUV would have been better, but we had a standard 4-door sedan. Road is full of potholes, large semi-buried rocks and numerous sharp medium and small rocks.

Given the significant snowfall just prior to your arrival, we did reach out a few times to let you know that the road and driveway conditions could be challenging, especially with two trucks and trailers, and we offered alternative options that may have been easier to navigate. We really enjoyed our stay, having breakfast in every morning (great kitchen and cabin layout), reading on the sofa in front of the wood burning stove, and then venturing out to explore the trails and local businesses for the day. Cabin was clean and well appointed, including a nice selection of books. Close to Grand Marais, yet so secluded! We elected to eat in one evening we were so comfortable.

What a great experience. Stayed for the winter solstice and everything about the cabin is great. Firewood seasoned and ready to use. All of the kitchen utensils are top notch and it felt like home. Cross country ski right out the back door onto the lake. We’ll be back for a summer stay for sure!

Host was accommodating for allowing my dog to stay in his kennel in the entryway.The cabin is very nice and cute. Unfortunately we didn't receive check-in information until after our scheduled check-in time. We understood that we would have to build a fire, but the cabin was only 42 when we arrived. It took a full day to warm the cabin up to 70 with the fire going around the clock. The hot water pipes were frozen the entire stay as well.

We're sure that walking into a cold cabin with frozen pipes was frustrating and disappointing. Unusually cold weather and storm conditions can wreak havoc on us. My husband and I loved staying at this cabin for our anniversary. The outdoor area is spacious, well kept, and private. We loved building campfires every day and getting to sit by the water. It was incredibly peaceful. Having a full kitchen was great too. The cabin felt very equipped with both necessities and entertainment. Our biggest regret is not booking a longer stay

It was one of my favorite places I've stayed. The road was rough getting there, but once there, it was secluded and quiet. My mom passed away last week and this place was just what l needed. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Linda
