This is a lovely saltbox with plenty of space for the multi generational family. We all love the Cape and this is the perfect quiet neighborhood close to the beach and all things Cape. The Tudors are easy to reach for any issues you may have and they have easy instructions for all household needs. You'll appreciate your choice with this comfortable home.

Craigville Beach is one of our favorites too.....just minutes from the cottage and free to park with the beach pass provided!! Glad you enjoyed your stay!
From the first communication with the owners I knew this would be a wonderful stay and the property didn’t disappoint. The home was beautifully kept, clean, in a wonderful location and had the great bonus of the Beach pass! Would definitely come here again!

We do try to keep the lines of communication open from the first inquiry to departure. It is important for us that you have the best holiday ever. Glad your stay was a good one. We hope you will return in the future.
We found the house very comfortable and great for all three generations. Our days at the beach were remarkable and we always enjoy the great seafood restaurants offered nearby. A wonderful trip and Deb was always available for any questions.

We agree. Our beaches are amazing and we love the warm wsters of Nantucket Sound. So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay.
A nice first week visit at the Cape! Deb was great in answering my questions before booking and reached out up through check in. The house was just as described and pictured. It was tucked away in a nice, quiet cul-de-sac in a lovely neighborhood. The house had everything that we needed (and even things we didn’t know we’d want). The beach parking pass was helpful and a few beaches were a short drive away. It was a quick drive to downtown Hyannis as well. Thanks for a great trip!

The beach parking pass is a nice perk for our guests. I'm glad your first Cape Cod holiday was a good experience. Hopefully you will want to return in the future.
This is our 3rd year visit with family and it's perfect for our needs. You can easily travel from mid cape to lower and upper cape destinations and return to this quiet family friendly neighborhood. The beaches are awesome and the Tudors are great landlords. Another great vaca

We had a lovely time at the home, its on a quiet cul de sac, plenty of space on a large deck for using the outdoor bbq. The beach pass is helpful, we explored a variety of beaches!

Lovely and comfortable with all the comforts of home.
We loved the homey feeling of Slimbridge. We felt like we were staying at a family's home. The outside deck was the perfect place to enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast. Every room was comfortable. Will come back again!

Our deck is a popular spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner....quiet and private. Glad you enjoyed you stay. We look forward to next time....
Deb's house was perfect for our group of friends. It's conveniently located a 20-minute walk from the beach and a 15-minute walk from the grocery store. Deb was responsive before and throughout the trip to all of our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is a huge plus with our cottage. .Thank you for your kind review.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home in Hyannis. The home was well suited for our family and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The only comment I’d make is the beach chairs are more like a camping chair. Great for the deck but not really for the beach. Overall, a great stay!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hoping you will consider our home fir your next Cape Cod vacatiin.
Our family of five enjoyed our stay! Rental was clean on arrival, well furnished with plenty of kitchen appliances/utensils and supplies for cooking both simple and elaborate meals, and within two miles of a wide variety of restaurants. Just one mile to beach by bike or car, parking pass included. Owner just a quick call or text away, helped me find everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

One of the things guests seem to enjoy about our home, is its proximity to both the beach and local attractions. At the same time, we are surrounded by woods on three sides which gives a feeling of restful quiet. Glad you enjoyed your time on the Cape. Thank you for your kind words.
Each year for the past 8 years we have spent a week on the Cape with our oldest son, wife, and two grandkids.... 8 and 4 years old this summer. This has been the nicest home we have rented over these years, and it it positioned central to places we like visiting, and has access to nice "locals only" beaches. We highly recommend the property. It was everything as advertised!

Kansas to the coast
We loved our time with our family in this wonderful home. It is small enough to feel like home and large enough that the rest of the family could find peace from my young children when needed! We enjoyed visiting the attractions and were thankful for suggestions in the book. We loved the ice cream shop and the church we visited, and my children's first visit to the ocean. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Response from VrboOwner on 22 March 2020
We have the "Book of Where" on the coffee table to give visitors new to the Cape ideas for places to eat and things to do. Several people have commented it was useful. So happy your mid-west children had an opportunity to see the ocean - quite an amazing sight.
This home was more than a rental. The house was warm and inviting and the owners were welcoming and helpful. They provided everything a family could need from kids toys to beach chairs and umbrellas. The finished basement was a treat for the kids, and gave the adults a few moments of quiet. The beach pass was a bonus. My only hesitation is that everyone will want to stay here and we won’t be able to go back.

Our website headline says "Family Friendly" and we mean it. We, too, have kids and grands who love to stay with us and the things that you mention are some of the reasons they find it so much fun. It is funny you mention the lower level being a place where the kiddos can play and give the adults a few moments of quiet - we find that to be so very true as well. We would love to have you return. Just say the word!
We rent every summer on Cape Cod and this is our 2nd
year at the Tudor property. It's in a lovely quiet neighborhood and also close to everything, We bike ride to the beach or drive as we have access to the beach pass. Deb has been very helpful with any needs. Our grandchildren love the week and the house is very kid friendly. Thank you Tudor's for lending your home.

Warm and welcoming
We have stayed at the Slimbridge cottage for two vacations in a row and we couldn't be more pleased. The layout of the house is great and has plenty of room for our family of six to stay comfortably. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are high end and cozy. There are plenty of fresh clean linens and we love that there is a washer and dryer on site. Debbie is helpful, concise and pleasant to work with. We look forward to staying at Slimbridge in the years to come.

Having comfy beds is an important part of a great vacation. Glad you found the beds to your liking. Many rentals require you to bring your own sheets and towels. Having freshly made beds and plenty of towels is a plus for many of our guests. We look forward to having you return!

Incredible Place of Rest & Relaxation
What an incredible treasured spot. The property is clean, well-maintained and everything we needed or desired was thought of/or provided. The owners were most helpful in answering questions and concerns and even provide a manual with useful information for tourists and for those who may need help in figuring out how to turn on the TV (perfect for me). The property is located in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood not far from the beach, walking paths, and among many other things, the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory (which you can tour for free on a rainy day). It was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to all. It is worth every penny and I look forward to staying there again.

Thanks so much for your kind review. We love the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory, too! Glad you found the Welcome Book to be helpful. It seems like every TV, heating/cooling system, and appliance works a little differently from house to house. The book is there to answer questions about the various mechanics of the cottage. Sounds like it was useful. We look forward to your next trip to the Cape!

Great Location, Beautiful Home, Wonderful Owners
Our family of 5 (3 small children) enjoyed a great week at Slimbridge in August, 2013. The house was very clean and is every bit as nice as advertised. Deb & Bill were great to deal with, made us feel very much at home and were easily accessible via cell for any questions that we had. The house is in a very quiet and private location, but very close to eveything in Hyannisport, Centreville and Osterville. Right down the street from groceries, gas, ice cream and beach. Would recommend to family, friends and review readers. Have fun.

We've tried to make the cottage family friendly with beach toys, board games and kids books, too. There's even a real chalk board in the family room for playing school should a rainy day keep you inside. Sounds like your children enjoyed the house as much as our grandchildren do. We look forward to having you visit Slimbridge again in the future!
The house was very nice. It was clean and had everything we needed for a week away from home. It is spacious and fit 6 of us very nicely with room to spare. The deck has ample space, and we used the grill a few times. Also enjoyed the outdoor shower.
Having the beach pass was a huge plus and it was helpful to have beach chairs too. The location of the house is very good. Close to downtown and Craigville and Covell Beach. We have stayed in several houses on the Cape over the years and this was the best one.
I spoke with Deb via phone and text a few times and she was lovely. You can tell they care about their house. If we come back to Hyannis next year, we will definitely go back.

Thank you for your kind words. Im glad you mentioned the outside shower. We love to pop in there after the beach to rinse off sand and salt. With daily parking fees $20+ the beach pass does save our guests quite a bit. We understand that it is nice to travel to other destinations, but we are glad to hear you would choose Slimbridge should you return in the future.
My family and I stayed at this rental the summer of 2024. It was two adults, three kids, and two grandparents. The place was very homey, clean, and well stocked. Not only was there all the spices, cooking items, extra towels, blankets, and toilet paper, but there was also a number of bag chairs, beach toys, a cooler, and beach umbrellas to use. The outside area was beautiful and there was plenty of space inside and out for all of us to be comfortable. There was at least 12 beaches within 15 minutes of the property and at least two within 5 mins. The town had lots of little shops to explore and great food. The owners was friendly and great communicators. They went above and beyond to let us know where anything was in the house as well as fun places to go in the area for families. We will definitely be back!

Thank you! We try to furnish our home in the same way we'd like to have a rental furnished when we travel. I think having the beach chairs, toys and umbrellas is helpful - and having pantry staples for cooking too. The location of the house sets you apart from the summer hustle and bustle, but puts you close to beaches, sbopping, restaurants and tourist sites. Our family loves it here. Im glad you do too.

Wonderful
My family and I have spent the past 4 days in this house. It is everything the owners said it is and more. The house is so beautiful and quaint and the 8 of us fit very comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The neighborhood is quiet but close to stores and the main attractions. We used the beach pass to go to Craigsville beach, about a mile from the house, which is one of the better beaches in the area. The house comes with beach umbrellas and chairs which was lovely as well. I definitely recommend going to Whimpys for a seafood dinner!! Its a 10 minute drive from the house and very inexpensive with great service. The owners were great and were so quick to respond with all of our questions.

It sounds like your family enjoyed some of our favorite spots too! Craigville Beach is so close to the cottage and perfect for "kids" of all ages. There are life guards and the waves are usually not too big, which is nice for families with little ones. While there are dozens of great restaurants within a 20 minute drive of the cottage, Wimpy's is hands down our top pick. They do take out as well if anyone prefers to eat at home! A special hats off to your military brother. Glad we were able to give him a restful spot for his leave.
About the host
Hosted by Bill and Debbie Tudor
We both retired in 2011. Bill was a purchasing agent and Debbie an elementary teacher. We have 3 wonderful children and 6 delightful grands. You'll find the house is furnished with visitors of all ages in mind.
Why they chose this property
After years of vacationing with family on the Cape, our kids convinced us it was time to buy a place of our own. Our Realtor showed us several properties, but when we pulled up to this house, we knew it was 'the one.' Once you see it and spend some time here you'll know what we mean.
What makes this property unique
Our family loves that Slimbridge Cottage is minutes from the beach and the warm waters of Nantucket Sound. It's also not far from the Cape Cod Rail Trail, a 25 mile paved bike and walking path. We love taking visitors to Plimouth Plantation and the Mayflower which is about 45 minutes away. There are ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket right here in Hyannis or you can drive to Falmouth or Woods Hole if you want a shorter 'ocean voyage'. There are also whale watches and deep sea fishing boats that go out of Barnstable Harbor. Fresh seafood is abundant either from the local fish market or at any of the wonderful restaurants. If live theater is your thing, the Melody Tent is about a 5 minute drive. Are you a baseball fan? The Cape Cod Baseball League is one of the premiere summer leagues spotlighting the best collegiate talent. The Hyannis team plays about a 10 minute drive from our place! Probably one of the most amazing things about this place is the peace and quiet. It has woods on three sides with many beautiful birds and is on a cul de sac where our grandchildren can play and explore.
