OCEAN - SOUND - POOL - SUN... what more do you need for a great vacation or getaway?
Welcome to 'Blue Bayou'... your home-away-from-home (only without the worries). This beautifully-decorated, soundfront unit with wonderful sound, ocean, and pool views has everything you need to make your stay wonderful. The beach chairs, beach games, kitchen gadgets, etc. are all included. All that is missing is you! You have to see this one to believe it.

The floor plan offers two bedrooms on the first level, both with access to back decks overlooking the breathtaking sunsets of the sound. The primary bedroom with queen-size bed, TV, alarm clock, large walk-in closet has it's own large bathroom with 2 vanities and large walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed. The upper level affords the best view of the ocean or the sound, as well as star gazing.

The living room has hardwood floors and offers a pull-out sofa for an additional sleeping area. The dining room comfortably enables seating for six. A washer and dryer are included, as well as a grill and an extra freezer. A private community pool is directly in front of the unit and a private ocean walkway to a secluded beach is directly across the street.

What is there to do on North Topsail Island? Everything or nothing, and that is what keeps people coming back. You can spend your days lying in the sun or hunting the beach for your own private treasure. You can watch the stars as you 'baby sit' a turtle nest that is ready to hatch. Whatever you choose, there is something magical about Topsail Island and 'Blue Bayou' that keep you coming back!

Heaven on Earth

This is better than 5 stars! The property is VERY clean, beautifully decorated and all of the furniture/mattresses are extremely comfortable. The location is perfect. Three minute walk to the beach. Good size pool. Andrews Produce is steps away with the most amazing fruits & vegetables - PLUS - they have whole homemade cheesecakes & key lime pies! The best part though is the dock & the view of the sound! Unbelievable sunsets. We were on the dock every night after we got back from dinner until the sun went down! You can see crabs, oysters, mussels, fish & more from there. My kids were obsessed with the dock! This is, by far, the best place I have stayed in on Topsail. So incredibly peaceful. The beach is not packed at all on this end. We can't wait to come back!! Thank you Jack for everything!!!

Nice stay on the island

The location was great, the view fantastic, and the condo itself was lovely. Perfect for our small family's stay. The view of the sound was fantastic. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets. While on the sound side at the back of the community, it was still only a very short walk to the beach (3-4 minutes from stairs to sand). The pool was really nice, clean and seemed well serviced. There is seating in the gazebo, but no poolside chairs. The kitchen was well stocked and big enough to make several meals in. Linens are not included, which as of my rental wasn't mentioned in the property description, but was in the rental agreement sent after booking. Not a detractor for us since it is simple enough to bring our own or rent from a local service, but good to know. Jack was prompt in responding to questions I had, which I appreciated. The only issue though was that the master bedroom's mattress seems a bit worn. Specifically the mattress sags in the middle. As a side sleeper, this resulted in a very poor night's rest. The other bed didn't have the same issue.

The house was perfect. It Is located across the street from the beach access and only took about three minutes from the time we shut the door to the time we were on the beach. It is very relaxing environment and I couldn’t of asked for more.

Exquisite family beach vacation!

We all thoroughly enjoyed out time at this property! The townhouse was very clean and comfortable and a perfect space for my family. The beach was just a quick walk away and the pool was an added bonus and was well maintained. Quiet evenings for our family but also just a short drive if we wanted entertainment. While we did not require constant communication The owners were readily accessible and even offered a late checkout without a request for it. I would highly recommend and absolutely would book again without hesitation for our family!!

Absolutely perfect!

The beach house was absolutely perfect and allowed for a fun and relaxing vacation! We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the community pool, amazing sunsets over the bay, and crabbing from the dock. The house itself also exceeded our expectations! The decor was beautiful, the house was clean and well taken care of, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We absolutely hope to return again! Also, if you visit, check out the produce stand just a short walk up the road - not only do they have fresh fruits and vegetables but amazing salsa and homemade ice cream and sorbet that were a hit all around!

Amazing location with incredible sound views

Very well maintained and appointed property. Master bathroom (recently renovated) and bedroom are spacious. Secondary bedroom is quite tight but worked for our 2 children (4 and 8) to share. Carport is great to leave all the sandy toys and chairs and be ready to head back out to the beach. The walk to the private beach access is easy. The pool is very clean and someone was out every morning to check on it. You need to bring your own chairs. We had a great time and hope to be back one day!

The perfect beach house

We had a wonderful vacation here with our family. The communication with the owners was prompt and courteous, answering all of our questions. The kitchen was very well stocked to make meals, especially important during this unusual time of covid. The house has plenty of space for family to enjoy meals, board games, and puzzles together or to spend a little quiet time apart on the decks or bedrooms. The location is wonderful for fishing, kayaking or a day on the beach; and there is a well-stocked closet in the carport with plenty of beach chairs, beach toys and body boards. We highly recommend this beautiful vacation rental.

Great vacation!

We had a great time at Blue Bayou! Those sunsets from the back deck are phenomenal! Everything was clean and all we needed. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked most of our meals. We did eat at Fat Burgers twice very good and Lor-re-lie Pub. Did a little fishing since we found some rods in the beach closet as well as chairs and umbrellas. Found some nice finds on the beach including a 2 inch great white shark tooth. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Our Heron Cay sound side condo afforded us a beautiful view, a vegetable stand was a very short walk away and a nice bonus to our stay. Beach access was very easy and traffic in that area of the beach was as little as you may expect when you evaluate the number of houses in the area, at times the beach was ours, not bad for the third week of July. We were four adults and a one year old and the home was very accommodating to our needs. If you enjoy a good sunset Jack's rental is the place to be.

My stay was everything I had hoped for. The view of the intercostal bay from the kitchen and two bedrooms is amazing. The ocean beach across the street is so beautiful and ever changing that it kept me going back during different tides and times of day. The condo is very nicely appointed and stocked and clean and the beds are comfortable. There are good restaurant, fish markets, shops and activities very close by. I will be returning!

Jack and Heather provide a wonderful place to vacation. The have beach chairs, boogie boards and sandcastle stuff so it was so nice to not have to bring any of that. Blue bayaou allows you to fish or crab at the sound or relax and fish on the beach. The area is not very crowded and we ate in most of the time as the house had cooking supplies and the grocery store is very close. There are also places to go out to eat. We have been there 7 summers in a row and love the area and Jack and Heather! Our little piece of Heaven on earth! We highly recommend this area if you want a quiet, peaceful vacation!

My family and I had a wonderful time! We were able to relax, unwind and spend time together. It was the best of both worlds being on the sound and having the ocean right across the street.
