We had a great trip. Charcoal grill and fire pit in the little back area gravel space. It was cold the first night, I recommend bringing a small space heater or extra blanket, but the heater kept up fine the second night. Great stay! Cute and cozy place to relax.
This place was amazing! We absolutely loved our stay there and will definitely be back! To anyone staying here, my only advice is to be aware of small parking/turning your vehicle area at the house if the others nearby are booked! Not a big deal as we just parked by the arcade at that point and walked, but we will now know for next time! Again, not a complaint and well worth it! Highly recommend this rental and the owners!
Everything was near perfect! Great clean lodging. Quiet. Beautiful views. Minutes away from Grayson Highlands. I would love to stay here again soon. The only minus was that the arcade was underwhelming.

Glad you a good time! The arcade isn't a professional arcade by any means just our personal collection with as much as we can fit in to the building (it's pretty packed) You may have missed the other classic 50 in 1 machine if you didn't visit the laundry room if you were looking for retro classics, it was next to the cotton candy machine.
This was an awesome little cabin right at the base of Mt. Rodgers. The cabin was super clean and exactly what I needed for this short trip. I would have loved to stay longer to explore the property more but was only here for a short one-night stay this time, so I did not get to check out the trials on property. The cabin is only about 10 minutes from Grayson Highlands State Park and the Mt. Rodgers Natural area, so there is lots to do and is very close to some of the best hiking in the area. Would definitely stay at the Ridgetop Cabin and Highland Hideaways again.
Perfectly located to Grayson Highlands State Park. The VERY steep gravel driveway was expertly maintained and my Ford Escape had no trouble making it up and down. The guests in the lower cabin did block the driveway the first night but kindly moved their truck when asked. Not much area to walk the dog to potty that isn't gravel covered. Cabin was clean/tidy and basic, which is what I was looking for. Signage indicated pets not allowed on furniture which is understandable however, I would have loved to know that information ahead of time because I would have brought a bed and bedding for her since the cabin is INCREDIBLY drafty. Drafty to the point that her water bowl (inside) by the door was beginning to freeze. I ended up closing the bathroom doors and packing pillows at the base of the front door to conserve heat. The draft from the bathroom window and the front door were strong enough to blow the curtains. Brr! But with the heating unit set to 80 and blowing full blast, the bed area stayed warm and cozy. Lovely little spot and would stay again (but probably not in the winter.)

Courtney we're happy you enjoyed your stay, thanks for letting us know about the draft issue, we've stayed in the cabin down to about 4° but with much less wind than the 20 mile per hour winds we were having lately, We'll get some better weather stripping put in the doorway today. 😊
Layout was great with a queen bed and a couch / bed. If you want to be an early riser, you can catch the sunrise every morning through the front door. Nice view of the mountains from front deck and nice place for star gazing.
