Host was very helpful, property was exactly what we expected. 5 min walk to ferry and close to numerous cafes and coffee shops. Beds were very comfy and pillows were great.
The home was clean and well kept. Bruce contacted me early in the day to let us know we could check in hours before the original check in time. Area was quiet and very friendly with several local restaurants to eat at with excellent selection.
This home was in a safe, quiet and beautiful neighborhood, 5 minutes to ferry, close to a great coffee shop and delicious tacos. It had everything we needed for a lovely stay.
Had never been to that area, so there was a little unknown apprehension. It was unbelievable experience. The house was located in a historic quiet neighborhood. The house was comfortable and neat. If you are expectinga 5 star hotel accommodations don't stay here, if you are looking for somethingthat feels like home, this is the place. There was a small coffee shop and diner. Two bars (we did not make it there), and a great little taco shop. Access to the ferry was a few blocks and it ran on schedule. It drops you near the French Quarter. Uber from train station to house was inexpensive (25) and convenient. Finding car rental can be a challenge even with a reservation.Bruce communicated quickly with our questions. We will be back!!

Lovely antiques. Had to figure out how to climb high enough to remove batteries from chirping smoke detector. For two females, one aged 70, this was not so easy and it would have been nice if the owner had come to take care of it. Broken faucet handle in bathroom. Too many notes around the house about do this/Don’t do that.

I'm glad you enjoyed my home. I was going to come over to fix the smoke alarm, but you said you fixed it. I was disappointed that you severely burnt food in the oven. It would have been nice to properly use something to catch the food that over flowed. It took the cleaner over an hour to clean.
We enjoyed the house, location, and the host. We were there for a wedding and the home was easy for us to host a brunch the day after the wedding! Easy to get around the area to shop and to get to the city of New Orleans.
Safe neighborhood, enjoyed the ferry ride each day over to the French Quarter. Once we parked at the VRBO we didn't need to use the car until we headed home
We loved staying in the Algiers neighborhood and using the ferry to cross the river. The house is beautiful and as advertised. There is a great taco place just down the street. The owner is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would love to come back!
Nice and quiet neighborhood and is close to everything, the ferry is 4 blocks walk and a taco stand across the street and coffee shop around the corner and another 2 blocks away. Will stay there again.
