About this property

Classic New Orleans Victorian Era Charmer

Take a step back in time by spending your vacation in our classic 1870s New Orleans home which features 12-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and original cypress mantels. Lovingly updated with the latest amenities of a modern home, you can expect central air and heat, a full kitchen with stainless appliances and a custom bathroom with walk-in rainfall shower. It’s the perfect balance of historic charm and modern comfort designed to make your stay luxurious and authentic.
We do all the cleaning and washing and we would never require our guests to handle any chores.
Located in the Lower Garden District, we are just steps from all the shops, restaurants and boutiques that make Magazine Street and St. Charles Avenue famous. We are within walking distance to the National WWII Museum, the Morial Convention Center, the streetcar line, and we are 12 blocks from the world-famous French Quarter. Our neighborhood has a French Truck Coffee, a wonderful salon on the corner and some of the best Chinese in the city at Blue Giant located in the next block. We are located right across from the bus line.
This Victorian-era double is split down the middle with you on one side and the owners living on the other. The front two rooms of your side are bathed in natural light from the large windows and the ceilings are adorned with giant decorative medallions. Relax in the front room watching our 56-inch TV or surf the internet with our complementary Wifi at the dining room table. A print signed by renowned Louisiana artist George Rodrigue hangs in the dining room.
Through the dining room is a full kitchen where you can enjoy a cup of rich New Orleans coffee in the warmth of the morning sunshine from the large window that overlooks the seating area. It is stocked with basic cookware, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, toaster and coffee maker. Coffee, tea, creamer and sweeteners are provided.
The first bedroom past the kitchen has a queen bed, ceiling fan, closet, dresser and full-length mirror.
The bathroom is in the hallway that connects the bedrooms and boasts a custom tile shower with rainfall shower, handheld shower spray and marble bench seat. We supply fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer.
The second bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan, clothes rack and lovely view of the neighboring garden. The back door leads to the small brick patio.
A washer and dryer are available in the laundry room for your convenience.

Beautiful, comfortable, charming
Very clean and charming home to stay while visiting New Orleans and the French quarter. A/C and fans kept the space comfortable day and night. Kitchen beautiful with everything you need. Bathroom and shower were great. Close to trolley and about 30 minute walk to the French quarter.

Great house on Magazine st
This cute house is nicely remodeled and better than pics show. It is in a good location in lower garden district close to shopping on Magazine st and close to convention center. We used house as a staging area for a wedding in a nearby venue

Excellent Location + Lots of Character
We had an excellent time at this place. It is in the Garden District and just a short walk from the WW2 Museum and the St Charles streetcar line. It is exactly as advertised and the landlord was super responsive. We highly recommend this place.

Perfect for a brief stay before a cruise!
We could walk to fantastic places to eat. Street parking was easy too. I enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning. Fun area! A short walk to the WW2 museum which was so special.
