About this property
Rene's Casita by the Bay - Pool,Pet,Boat & RV Friendly + Yard + 5 min. to Beach
Welcome to Rene's Casita by the Bay here in Rockport, Texas. Forget all your worries in the world while staying in this spacious and serene guest home that sits on the coastal bend of the Live Oak Peninsula. This gem of a casita will be managed by host/owner, me who has 17 years’ experience in the hospitality/vacation-rental industry. My undivided attention to your needs will have you coming back again & again. I have a GOLD STANDARD so book with me. Pet, Boat and RV friendly. Lots of space for everything!! A 50-amp circuit is available for your use if you bring your RV or Boat.
The Space
Casita by the Bay is Pet, Boat & RV friendly and includes a private pool & hot tub. There is also an enclosed grass yard area for the fur babies to run amuck. My property is a rock throw away from Rockport Beach. You can drive there in 5 minutes with H.E.B. and Walmart right around the corner. Feel free to use the 50-amp circuit provided to charge your Tesla/EV or motorhome while visiting. The large backyard is equipped to let you BBQ on the gas grill in the side yard with ample space for the dogs and kids to play. With margarita in hand, it’s the perfect time to walk up to the margarita deck, where sky’s the limit! Walk the property out back and admire the gorgeous gardens and views of the iconic live oaks.
When you arrive at the property, everything you need is in place for you to relax and enjoy your stay. The bedroom has a comfy king-size bed along with an Amazon Fire TV and plenty of dressers and closet space for your belongings.
The living room area has a love couch and a sleeper sofa where you can easily stretch out to read a book or watch a movie on the 55” television. Extra travel items can be stored in the large console so no worries about cluttering your space. The kitchen comes fully equipped with anything you will need for your cooking needs. Stock up on groceries and make full use of the standard size refrigerator. There is a Keurig machine with complimentary coffee and condiments. The dining table in the kitchen area sits 4 and if you want, move out to the patio to enjoy quiet mornings while sipping coffee. You might get lucky enough to see and hear the Red-billed whistling ducks that often do a fly by as do a variety of terns and other birds. When done with coffee dip in the non-heated pool and sunbathe in a chaise lounge. Relax, Repeat & Do it Again . . .
Guest access
When arriving, park in front of the gate on the left. An address will be included with your instructions. There is a marked stone in the yard that will have the address number on it. Enter the casita with the code that you will be given prior to check in. I do like you to read the “House Manual” explaining all the rules and things to know about the property. There is more parking on the other side of the grass should you need it. Make use of the 50-amp circuit mentioned earlier and feel free to use the extra space to park your boat or RV.
Interaction with guests
I like to give my guests their privacy but if you happen to see me feel free to holler at me and I will come by and say hello. During your stay I can be reached day or night. Text is best but do call me especially if there is an emergency regarding a broken water pipe, plugged toilet, etc. please don’t wait till after you check out to tell me this, I want to fix a problem as soon as possible for you and for my next guest who might be checking in.
What matters to you is important so always feel free to reach out to me and know that even the simplest question is not a bother to me. This is my job, and I want you to have the best experience during your stay at Rene's Casita by the Bay.
I do love to interact with my guests and at the same time if you are one that wants their space, I will respect you and not be offended
Other things to note
The property is pet friendly and owners should reach out to get permission. There is a one-time pet fee of $55. Multiple dogs might incur an extra fee so always give me a heads up.

About the host
Hosted by Rene Prina

I am a native Californian. Born near the beach town of Oceanside and spent my childhood growing up in Carlsbad. My husband Ted I met in CA where we married and later lived in AZ raising our 2 boys for 20 + years. I enjoy traveling and exploring new towns and places. My hobbies include cooking, entertaining, and fishing whenever I can. Managing and hosting our vacation rentals came from property investments that we own and in giving it a try to see if property management was a good fit for me, I must admit that I really like doing it.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I looked at many properties in south Texas. Rockport won our hearts instantly. It still carries that small town feel and has a very comfortable and laid-back feeling here. There is a lot to be said about being near the water and considering that we love to fish, Rockport is now the Red Fish Capital of Texas. We also embrace the fact that our casita is in the first and oldest neighborhood known as the Live Oak Peninsula.
What makes this property unique
We feel we stand out because of our proximity to downtown and being so close to the beach with that 5-minute drive to get there. You truly cannot beat the patio deck, pool, large side yard for your dogs and kids to play, stairs to the margarita deck above to enjoy your favorite cocktail and to top it a jacuzzi for nights when you want to look above the stars and sip on a glass of wine. The neighborhood is safe, and the community of Rockport/Fulton always has many events and activities that are offered throughout the year. The arts district is also very close with boutiques, art galleries and popular local restaurants.
