Beautiful

The pictures do not live up to this beautiful home! Clean and cozy. The decor is absolutely adorable and has a Tahoe cabin feeling. We had everything we needed for our stay. Sierra skiing was close. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay again.

Great space for families

We had a lovely stay over the Thanksgiving holidays. The house is much nicer in person than the photos depict. We had 3 young children run around the living space with ease and still felt like we had space to talk and relax! Ha! We enjoyed the hot tub and backyard space with swing, fire pit, and BBQ set up.

Family Winter Getaway

The place was perfect for our family. The kids had so much fun playing in snow just outside the house. It was conveniently close to Sierra at Tahoe. We will definitely book this place for our next Tahoe adventure. The owner is very responsive and easy to talk to. Highly recommended!

Clean and cozy cabin conveniently within 20 minutes of town!

This cabin was spectacular! Very clean and cozy! It gives off a wonderful woodsy feeling with the decorations and landscaping surrounding it. Just a short drive to restaurants, shopping, the lake and so much more. I would definitely visit again!

Christmas holiday....

Very clean and enjoyable home which we were able to enjoy over Christmas. Owner had a beautiful Christmas display up which was appreciated. The kitchen was very well stocked for all needs. We had a 2-1/2 year old with us and the large walk-in closet in the master bedroom became a perfect bedroom for her. Owner was very good to work with being timely and answering any questions we had. Minor issue but wish there were additional towels. Would recommend a stay at this property.

Great Time at the Grizzly Cabin!

Our weekend away was somewhat last-minute and I was VERY fortunate to find such an awesome rental so close to the end of the summer vacation season. Kurt was very professional and easy to work with. He responded quickly to my weekend inquiry (even called me at home) and provided lots of information about his house. Which brings me to the Grizzly Mountain Cabin. It is an absolutely beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood near Meyers. It is designed perfectly for any type of stay. It is a two-story home that is basically two homes in one. The upstairs has a living room (with sleeper couch), kitchen, dining area, fireplace and access to the deck/backyard, which is large, grassy and has many beautiful big trees. The upstairs area also has a big master bedroom with a large, "two person" bathroom that contains a Jacuzzi tub and shower. There is also a half bathroom and laundry room upstairs. The downstairs portion of the house is almost like another house. It has a "living room" with it's own fireplace, sleeper couch, access to the backyard and deck (which covers the hot tub) a "kid's bedroom" that sleeps 4, a nice larger bedroom and a full bath. It even has a large garage. This layout fits perfectly with the "two couples/families" scenario or having the upstairs being the adult's domain while the downstairs is for the kids. The house is beautifully furnished and we all immediately wished it was ours! But, staying there is the next best thing, I guess and I certainly would not hesitate to do that again. Loved our stay at this beautiful home, warm with the feel of Tahoe and very functional, loved the backyard, the spa was very nice, appointed with all that we needed, quiet neighborhood. The owner was great to work with and very responsive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Short drive to town.

Grizzly Mountain Cabin

The house was perfect for our family of 8. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the kids enjoyed the hot tub & rope swing in the backyard. It was located in a perfect location with grocery stores, retail, and snow parks just a few miles away. Only about a 30 minute drive to great places for fun hikes, great for all ages. We plan to make a trip back to this house again!!

Beautiful Christmas Getaway

My family and I came to Tahoe during Christmas week and this cabin was perfect for all of us. It actually looks a lot bigger in person than the pictures are showing. Having 2 and a half bathrooms upstairs and downstairs was so convenient because there were so many kids. The backyard is also pretty big - it had a hot tub and this rope swing coming down from a tree which was fun to play with in the snow. Lastly, in addition to the beautiful home, working with the homeowner Kurt was such a breeze because he is quick to respond and is very accommodating. If you are looking for a spacious, clean cabin with tons of beds.. I would definitely stay here!

Perfect White Christmas

My family came up from Southern California to spend Christmas together. I had two nephews whom have never seen the snow. With the lack of rain this year in Northern Cal, I didn't think there would be any snow...but there was. The house was perfect! A group had left the house just hours before we arrived, but we couldn't tell ... The house was really clean. We were asked to take our shoes off and leave them by the door, which I appreciated because we do that at home as well. The owner was always quick to answer my emails and text message when I had a questions. The master bedroom was kind of cold even when we had the heater on. We thought that maybe the pilot was off, but it wasn't. It was just the way the house was built... We just left the master door open and the room eventually warmed up. On a side note... I missed my dog. Pets are not allowed, which was a bummer, but I understand why... The house is in great condition for a reason. :o) The house and overall experience gets 5 stars in my book!!!

Charming, Spacious, Cozy Cabin

Charming, spacious, cozy cabin. The rooms are set up great for 2 to 10 people. The cabin follows an attractive earthy, woody theme. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a great view down the slope. Downstairs there are two rooms: one with bunks and another with a queen size bed. There are living areas upstairs and downstairs with comfortable, near-perfect-condition furniture. There are three bathrooms, which is advantageous for multiple people. Washing machine and dryer are excellent. Kitchen is spacious and convenient, including necessities for cooking and clay pottery dishes with a nice glaze accent. The hot tub is clean and easy to use. Lots of towels and games are available. TV includes netfilx. The front door has a code lock, which was useful so we didn't have to pass around a key. All together, a marvelous stay; I will give a sparkling recommendation of this cabin to anyone who is looking into a stay at South Lake Tahoe.

Came here for partners birthday and he/we loved it

Grizzly Cabin looks just like the photos. It was extremely clean, in fact, you would have never known someone had just been there a few hours earlier. Peaceful and quiet, just as the owner promised. I do want to warn whoever stays on a Monday night that the garbage truck shows up at 5:55am Tuesday morning so I would not recommend sleeping with the master bedroom window open unless you wake that early. That was unbelievably early and loud!!!!! Other than that though, the quietest place I've ever been. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need for cooking. As for spices, I brought my own thanks to the one reviewer. Be sure to bring coffee filters too. Grill was great. Really enjoyed cooking in this kitchen. Towels do need to be upgraded; some are looking pretty old. No iron so if you are like us and hate wrinkled clothes, beware. Jacuzzi was great to have. Fireplace was amazingly cozy and warm. Furniture is really nice and in great shape. Great location. Far enough away to relax and get away from it all without being too remote yet close enough to town. Owner was quick to respond to everything and very helpful and nice. I highly recommend this home and would stay again and hope to. ~Heather

The Best Family Getaway!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful cabin in South Lake Tahoe in June. We had the best time, the cabin is very clean and nicely furnished. The area is quiet and the nights are very relaxing sitting outside in the hot tub, The cabin is about 15 minutes from downtown and the beach. The cabin is very spacious and accommodated all of us comfortably. This was by far one of my favorite family vacations!

Mostly a great stay!

The property was very nice, quiet, clean and cozy. We stayed here while my husband and friend rode the Death Ride tour of the California Alps. The few improvements that would have made our stay better is to have a few more spices supplied in the kitchen (salt and pepper were the only ones provided in our stay) and a blow dryer. Not HUGE deals, but things we had to purchase instead. The property is in a pretty quiet neighborhood about 15 min outside of town, which was nice. The hottub was nice--a bit small for 3 adults, and difficult to figure out where the jets button was ;) (probably user error on that one), but again overall a good stay.

Excellent New Years getaway great for the family!

Let me just say the property owners are a dream to work with and are great at communication. If you are looking for a place to get away then this is the place far enough out you feel secluded but close enough to hit the slopes or the slots. House has everything you need and is well kept and very clean plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was fun to sit in and watch the snow fall around us. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. And we hope to be back soon!

We purchased this property in the Upper Truckee Area because it is one of the nicest most peaceful areas in South Lake. I am a avid skier and boater the property is centrally located to Heavenly Valley, Sierra at Tahoe, Kirkwood and 5 Miles From the Lake Tahoe Marina. Our property is close enough to the night life of South Lake Tahoe when we want to play, yet quite and serene when we want to get away.

What makes this property unique

We have very fond memories in this house. We love the cabin feel nestled in the pines, it feels like your inside a snow globe when the snow is falling
