About the host
Hosted by Rich McMackin
My name is Rich. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts and attended two different colleges in Central and West Florida. I love taking time to escape the New England winter down in Rotonda and when we stumbled on this home last spring, we jumped on the chance to pick it up. I'm an obsessive golfer and sports fan, particularly football and hockey, but I have many other interests as well. I truly enjoy being able to offer folks a place to stay that is more like home than a stodgy hotel room. I really look forward to speaking with / meeting you and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
Why they chose this property
My parents and I were vacationing in the area when we saw this home was for sale. We had been bouncing around the idea of buying some place for them to spend the winters and as soon as we walked into the home, the looks on their faces made me know that we needed to make this work.
What makes this property unique
The thing that makes the property unique is two-fold. First, the main area of the home is laid out with a concept that is much more open than you traditionally find in Florida homes. Second is obviously the gigantic outdoor entertaining area - Mum and Dad love sitting out there with coffee in the morning or waiting for the sun to set after a quick dip in the pool.
