Great Getaway in the Catskills

Tucked away near the end of a mountain road was the perfect location for our weekend getaway. The property is lovely with some room to roam. It is a bit rustic, but we expected that. The beds were comfy, and linens were provided. The living room just had a couch and 1 chair, so we sat on the front porch which had lovely views. The kitchen was adequate, but did lack some items you may find in a better stocked home. Cleanliness was decent for being a rustic cabin, but some deep cleaning to get the cobwebs out of the corners would help. We had one issue with the sink that was very quickly resolved with the owner. We would definitely return for another weekend in the Catskills!

We are from NYC and spent several years renting in upstate NY. After staying at several towns, Margaretville was our favorite. In the city, we own a martial arts studio and work in real estate.

We love the serenity and friendliness of Margaretville. It's close to the supermarket and several cute shops. There are a ton of hiking spots nearby and along the way. Belleaire ski resort is 20 minutes away as well.
