We got stuck in the cabin during a snow storm and it was like a movie watching it snow fall sitting in the hot tub. I only had to text the host a couple times and every time she answered right away. I definitely recommend coming here, if you’re having a few friends hang out or a couples getaway. It was perfect!
The host was very communicative and had cute holiday touches. Being there so close to the holidays it was nice to have a tree and things that made it feel like home! The location was perfect. All my family lives near by so it was perfect to have space near by but was far enough to get away for a moment!
This location was nice, quiet and cozy. Very clean. My husband and I came for a quick anniversary trip. We enjoyed the cabin, fire pit, and hot tub. My only suggestion would be to add an address marker at the driveway entrance. We arrived at dark and missed the driveway. I will also mention that the driveway is gravel and steep. We enjoyed our time here and plan to return in summer.
My partner and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the cabin! The hosts were responsive to our needs and the cabin provided all of the amenities you would need for a couples getaway or a family gathering. The hot tub was awesome and we had a great time playing pool and darts in the family room. They also provide board games and books to keep the family engaged and entertained. All cooking and dining equipment is provided, we bought our own groceries and had everything needed to cook and serve our meals. There is a cozy fireplace and firepit as well as two full bathrooms and three bedrooms. One room is a open loft area, but it was very comfortable with a king size bed, desk and smart tv. Definitely would recommend Rileys Ridge for a couples trip or family vacation.
We found the cabin to be very nice. Everything was clean and hot tub was ready. My family enjoyed alot and the 5 year old did not want to leave. It's private and the rocking chair deck looks out into the woods. Very peaceful. Also convenient to Blue Ridge and local walking trails. Much fun!
Our stay was a perfect weekend getaway! The cabin was nice, the hot tub was relaxing, the location was great for exploring the town. I was more impressed by the way the owners handled an issue after our stay. My husband left his medication in the cabin after checkout and they reached out immediately. They were kind and very accommodating to resolve the issue! They are dedicated to customer satisfaction and I am grateful!
Excellent 5 star hosts…effective communicators and gracious. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. We especially loved evenings watching TV by the fireplace. Playing pool etc … the bedrooms are very comfortable with ample space for personal items… clothing etc My nephew especially loved the open loft bedroom. The cabin is close to the downtown area and great hiking options. We went on a 13 mile horse ride thru the National forest …. Beautiful. A great little cabin for sure!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
I appreciated that the host was very communicative and understanding, but sadly there were a fair few issues with the stay. Our largest issue was that the description says it is a "3 bedroom", even though one of the "bedrooms" is an open loft and not an actual room. The pictures of the listing also made it seem like it was an actual room, and it was an inconvenience for my group. However, the host did give me a partial refund for the inaccuracy.Another issue we had was the overall upkeep of the place. There were some grill tools, but they were completely covered in mold and disgusting. In the same vein, the downstairs bathroom also had mold growing in the corners. The kitchen had dry goods in the cupboards that were well past expired, one of them even being from 2019! We tried to use the hot tub, but despite there being a cover on it, there was a very strong urine smell coming from it. Additionally, we could not find sheets/blankets for the sofa beds. The last problem is that the driveway up to the house is steep and comprised of loose gravel. Even cars with AWD had trouble making it up the hill, and I'm sure all the gravel being kicked around scratched up the bottom of the cars. I have stayed in other mountain cabins before, and they had paved driveways.Overall, I wouldn't say it was a terrible experience, but all these issues really added up to be seriously annoying for us. I appreciated the host's communication, and the fact that all necessary amenities were present

Hi Evan,
Thank you for your feedback and for recognizing our communication during your stay. We strive to make every visit comfortable, and in your case, we provided a 20% discount upfront, a 4-hour early check-in, and an additional 10% adjustment to address your concerns about the loft.
We’d like to clarify a few points regarding other comments. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and inspected between each guest, including the kitchen, bathrooms, grill, and hot tub. We have no records of mold or odors, and all kitchen items are routinely checked and replaced — items from 2019 or any expired products are not present, especially since we just bought this cabin in May 2025 and any food items in the home were purchased after we bought the cabin. The only food items we have in the cabinets are spices, flour, and sugar- these are purposely left for guests to use to supplement their cooking so they don’t have to go out and buy these staples.
Regarding the driveway, being that this cabin is located in the mountains, it does have a driveway with a natural incline with gravel, as most of the cabins in this area have. We have updated our listing to make this more clear. Guests with AWD vehicles have historically had no difficulty navigating it safely, and we have never had a complaint from our many guests on other platforms regarding the driveway.
We value all guest feedback and continue to maintain our property to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for future visitors.
Thank you again for staying with us.
